Oh, I like this. Could definitely use an editor, there are some errors that are the kind that spellcheck doesn't really find (putting 'on' in place of 'one' or swapping 'your' and 'you're'). Aside from those minor errors, I love the story. It seems to be either a fantasy world or alternate history Earth with magic, though the Dragon is heavily based off of Vlad Tepes, aka Dracula, presumably the origin of the house 'Dracul' which was a reference to the family's membership in the Order of the Dragon. I do so love when people include little historical details as part of fantasy stories. Plus, the scenes between Gwen and Carla have been excellent. Can't wait to read more

Thanks! I’m glad you’re enjoying it. I guess I need to get an editor. I’ve never used one before and I feel bad imposing but it seems like I need it.

Yeah I can’t say the world is particularly original. I just mashed together stuff from a lot of fantasy I like, but it felt like it’d make a more interesting backdrop to the story than the usual modern or urban fantasy setting. And yeah, I’m trying to base each house off a actual vampire from literature or folklore. The Savons are reference to an old Serbian vampire myth Sava Savanovich.
