Needs a Conclusion

I'd like to see the conclusion...I liked the idea of the main character coming out of his funk. I liked how the bitch ended due to her campaign of adultery. Be nice to see the Dr. screwed over in a revenge scenario. Our character should have found a hotter younger lady before the bitch bit the prevebalial bullet...

Just as an aside...

Interesting that this character draws a moral line at abortion, but has no concerns with repeated adultery. This is truly selective, arrogant morality.

False equivilency

In an abortion, you are taking EVERYTHING from a group of cells/a human being (choose one).

With adultery, the person is still alive. They can (theoretically) laugh, love, live after a bad time.

So...yeah, if I had to make some choices, I'd rather not die and have ALL my tomorrows be nothing than be cheated on, which some (not all) people seem to get over.

Best ending to a story ever

This is how all cheating wife stories should end in the real world. I applaud the author for this wonderful conclusion

with

With adultery the relationship is being purposely destroyed.

The end result is much like murdering the cheating spouse except that they are still alive, so they can be seen in chance meetings to keep the pain fresh.

So tell me again how this is less than destroying some unaware cells ?

Your story is well compiled.

As anyone who has ever really been in love knows, it never ends no matter what. Legal ending does not switch off feelings and emotions. You never forget.

Great story, but

I don't know how I really feel about the ending. I thought the author was headed to a RAAC ending. My initial reaction to that possibility was he had already done the tough stuff. Why go back. The author did not tell us what our hero had just decided to do. Our hero will now has to live with the knowledge of his role in Jenny's pregnancy and death. Too bad he and Cheryl did not have romantic interests. Speaking of Cheryl - did she know about Jenny's cheating?

One last thought - I have seen this scenario in a number of LW stories. The cheater has a good reason to be gone every Fri. night, but what excuse did the paramour give to his wife?

Interesting but not enjoyable read

I guess he might have to re-think his plan at the end, given that his "problem" was dead. Guess that was one solution.

Good story

I do have a problem with the way Jake was shown to be weak, his actions were the right one. What bothers me most, he carried remorse over finding about the affair, making his confrontation during Jenny's sexual twist (in person) and the divorce. Add once Cheryl informed Jake Jenny was pregnant? whose child did Cheryl think it was? There is one comment, did Cheryl know about Jenny's affair? I believe so, I sadly think during a few or one girls night out the affair came out and Cheryl chose her ground to stand on. If there was to be a second chapter (which I doubt) the topic should come up. I feel the friendship between Jake and Cheryl would fall apart. Not over Jenny's death, rather the knowledge that Cheryl knew the truth for some time and never bothered once to approach Jake in any hopes of offering some help or support. The doctor got off easily, I would have trashed his career and family, added once the pregnancy was known, a visit to his wife would have been arranged and photos and videos delivered. I agree with Jakes views, anyone that cheats already disregards the other spouse and shows no respect towards that spouse while engaged in an affair that will surely ruin or destroy that marriage.

Sorry, those dogs don't hunt. She was a low life cheating bitch who deserved what she got. Too bad about the baby though. Baby didn't serve to die because the woman carrying the baby was a two-bit slut. As for Cheryl..well, she should simply mind her own business. Dr. Fellows really got off easy. So, he moved to another state and picked up where he left off. Basically he got off scott free.

Jenny received appropriate justice!

Jenny simply destroyed her husband and showed no remorse. She cut off her husband from marital sex and affection. Disregarded his emotional and mental health without a thought. She reaped what she had sewn. I am not really a BTB person, but in this case she deserved nothing more. Dan

You Know

I've read this before. I came up with new thoughts. Why did the cunt er cheating wife stay with her husband? It's obvious she didn't love him. Her and her jerkoff lover concocted a phony illness so she could just have sex with the lover. That's not love. That's ultimate betrayal. Was messing with her birth control pills wrong? Maybe, but what consideration did she show her faithful husband? None whatsoever. Also he should have broken relations with the co-worker who remained friends with the wife. He didn't need to hear about her. The ending was a little quick but anti-climatic. He should feel no guilt. Just a shame it didn't happen when she was alone. She didn't deserve a friend. Damn

impo_60impo_60about 9 years ago
I have to agree with @betrayedbylove...

I have to agree with @betrayedbylove...To do what she did, was proof that she didn't love her husband, nor respect him...It wasn't just a cheating, it was cheating and take the husband out of the marriage with the help of the lover. That's double cheating...So if she was unhappy after the divorce, wasn't because she missed her husband or was guilty about what she did to him, but because she missed the lover. The end was the easy way to solve the husband problems...She deserved to die...he should feel relieved!!!

AnonymousAnonymousabout 9 years ago
The ultimate

BTB story. A drastic ending, but believable. A bit of an abrupt end to the story though.

javmor79javmor79about 9 years ago
No love at all

I have to agree with betrayedbylove. She didn't love him at all. I can't see it. If she and her lover faked an illness to give her 6 months worth of excuses not to have sex with her husband, then there is no way that she had any love for him.

I also can't see someone with that level of apathy toward her marriage living her life in misery because her husband left her. I really think that she wouldn't be miserable without him. She would more than likely mourn for a week or two about her failed marriage, but I really think she would have suffered a greater sense of loss at the thought of the doctor moving out of town than about her husband leaving her.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 9 years ago
Great Conclusion

I love a happy ending and for me this was the happiest ending to a story involving a wife that cheated...death : ). This is what every wife (and husband) that cheats deserves. No loose ends, no having to deal with a cheating whore ever again, no complications with holidays with the children or mutual friends...just a good clean break.

the opposite of love

The opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference.

Jenny showed extreme indifference toward her husband.

She did not love him.

So why would she be even a little bit sad that he was gone?

She didn't care when he was with her, so her caring later seems bogus.

The best thing for Jake would be to move and put all the people in his life before the move on his ignore list.

Problems

1. He should never have fucked around with her birth control. The child, had it lived did not deserve to be born into that shitty situation. To even think of such a thing is sick and evil.

2. Cheaters are only sorry when they get caught AND actually have to pay the price. By definition they are selfish people and they hate having to give up anything including a comfortable and respectable lifestyle.

3. She and the Doctor schemed to deny him sex. This wasn't just cheating this was much worse.

4. NEVER forgive a cheater. If you love them, learn to stop loving them. Nothing good can come from it. They are bad people, and they are NEVER going to get any better. This is from my personal experience of having known a group of people for 45 years. The people who were cheaters, all continued to cheat and carry on in their selfish and dishonest ways for all 45 years. People do not change! Shun bad people. Do not let them into your life even if that means cutting ties with other people that associate with them.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 9 years ago
to many problems with this

on the birth control, an excellent thing, wish I had known that trick. Her death came from adulterous sex and impregnation by a man not her husband. The bleeding out was due to her medical condition and not defective BC pills. His anguish over the divorce is irrational. The wife intentionally committed adulterous sex and deprived her husband of her affections. She is the one that trashed 25 years together not him. She is the one that destroyed the marriage and intentionally deceived and lied to her husband about the vaginitis while belittling and betraying her spouse. No one that really loves their spouse could have done what the exwife did. The husband in this story did less than what he should have done, he is an officer of the court and knew the doctor not only broke his ethics but also the law. He should have destroyed the doctors career and prevent it from happening again, and destroyed his wife. Sorr half ass acts aren't real. She could just as easily have died in and auto accident after that many years. I have been divorced from my first wife 26 years after being together for 28 years and still wonder what mental state she was in when she did some of the things she did that destroyed my love for her.

How to fall out of love

It is simply a matter of retraining your mind.

Pick something you have good memories of that does not include other person

Every time you catch yourself thing about other person immediately start thinking about your good memories time.

Lather rinse and repeat

It is not an easy task or one that can be done over a weekend

But soon your mind will automatically switch to happy time memories when other person starts to enter you mind

ain't easy takes way too damn long but it works (voice of experience)

Damn Good Story...BUT

He sterilized the birth control pills and because he gave BF an out, as well the wife...he now constantly deals with the fact that Jenny is pregnant! Well, that part is too bad for her because she deserves the consequence of her conduct but hubby being a good guy - it hangs on him.

His constant feeling of remorse and possibly considering reconciliation is normal but sad and hurtful. He will go through hell for ages, just because he was geared for a lifetime of loving Jenny and now...a real man can't accept the betrayal of infidelity, especially an ongoing, cold blooded cheating affair.

Now, she dead from complications...he is going to live in hell with this event, he will always feel guilty unless, some friends or doc can explain to him that she was an educated and intelligent woman that should have known how to take care of herself.

Well, good story, sad she died and I do feel sorry for both of them except, and until, I remember how she treated hubby for months and slyly cheated on him, intentionally and enjoyably with their friend and neighbor...Pity!

No Sympathy!

I have no sympathy for the wife at all. After what she did to this guy that she supposedly 'loved'. I don't believe she loved him at all. You CANNOT treat someone you love the way she treated him. Her and her lover's scheme for the husband not to have sex with her for 6 months- that shows real love (sarcasm). The doctor got off way too easy. He deserved some major hurt -loss of his wife, his license, etc. I don't understand why this guy felt so bad for his ex-cheater. And his friends that wanted reconciliation, explain everything to them and then dump them as friends because they really aren't. The only one I have any sympathy for was the unborn child. I guess the title says it all "Love Is Blind...And Stupid" in the husbands case.

Been there done that. A year later she's at the door and wants to be forgiven and get back together! Seems she caught her Lover with another slut when she got home from work hours earlier than usual. For the kid's sake was how she put it. I told her she should have thought of that before she started spreading her legs for her lover. She then got angry and tried to take me to court to raise the child support payments. Did'nt work. She then starting spreading shit about how I had mistreated her. Didn't work. I moved on, remarried and have just celebrated my 40th Wedding Anniversary. Have 3 more kids, a boy and two girls. Which makes 5 kids, with a boy and a girl from my 1st marriage. They're all grown and married and have made me a grandpa many times over. She died 10 years ago in a terrible highway accident. She was coming home from a "Girl's night out". Had consumed too many drinks and met headfirst with an 18 wheeler. Those girl's nights out have probably caused more divorces than anyone can keep track of.

No Sympathy

Okay, while I LEAN towards BTB, I'm not one of those who deride anyone who even CONSIDERS reconciliation as a wimp-ass cuck.

So I'm not one of those cheering her death dancing around singing "Ding-Dong The Witch Is Dead!"

But I can't understand all the sympathy in this story for Jenny (before she died), totally ignoring the way she treated her husband.

Their friends and family conveniently ignored the fact that this wasn't some semi-innocent "fling", but a full-blown affair including a phony-baloney illness to deny him his conjugal rights.

Frankly I feel that his biggest mistake was in NOT exposing her and Brian to everyone, let them see the full extent of her betrayal, and maybe HE could have received some of the sympathy and support that was wasted on her.

sbrooks103sbrooks103over 8 years ago
One More Point

Okay, so they couldn't have vaginal sex for six months (assuming the diagnosis was real and not just an excuse to shut him off).

But shouldn't she then have been giving him frequent blow jobs, maybe even some occasional anal sex?

Tootight1Tootight1over 8 years ago
good story

though drawn out in places, I think it was necessary. I loved the ending, but wish there was someway to have included Cheryl in the demise, somehow. I was surprised that the ex never tried to contact him at all, no, it was Cheryl who did that, the same Cheryl that told him not to do anything rash, the same Cheryl that sided with the ex all the way through this. I hope she burns in hell with the ex.

after 25 years with someone, is it that hard to understand the betrayal, and the second guessing one goes through, when making a decision on divorce, I think not.

good story, although it is typical, she cheats, gets caught, divorce, hubby is filled with doubt. the twists in this story seems to be Cheryl's involvement, and just how much she knew about the whole thing, to me.

the author seems to leave a lot out of the wife's thoughts or reasons, for what happened, or how or why, either before, during or after the fact, on purpose I suspect.

AnonymousAnonymousover 8 years ago

How she treated him, why should she consider reconciliation is a possible option? May be form of "absolution" may be given by the ex husband. But no reconcillation. It may help her move on

Aww, poor wittle baby

I know the "moral" of this story is something along the lines of "Forgive, before it's too late", but I'm gonna go ahead and call bullshit on that. A big, fresh, steaming pile of bullshit.

It's one thing to forgive cheating. It's another thing to forgive an affair. And who's a whole other thing to even consider forgiving what Jenny did. The level of malicious forethought that went into her affair is on a different scale from a lot of other shit I've seen, including Blue88's other works. She conspired with her lover to fool her husband, and was fucking proud of herself for it. And then she proceeded to be a bitch around the house, ignoring her husband when she wasn't snapping at him over nothing. And the birth control pills add yet another layer to the deliberate deception. They had it all planned out, and everything was going smoothly. And what's worse is that this wasn't like similar scenarios you see in these types of stories, where the wife is "forced" to go along with her lover's plans because of his "dominating personality". She helped come up with the plan in the first place, and like I said, she was PROUD of it.

So the question is why the hell would the husband want to go back to THAT? To a woman who could be that heartless and deceitful? She only regretted it because she got caught. If her affair had been allowed to continue, who knows how long it would've gone on? Who knows what she and loverboy would've come up with to fool hubby when those six months were up? Guy would have to be a Grade A moron.

No sympathy for the bitch. She wasn't bad enough for me to wish her dead, but she wasn't exactly a worthwhile human being in my eyes by that point. Which is why I have to downgrade this story, because of the sympathy the narrative showed her. Especially at the end, where the author went full DQS1 and had the jilted ex turn himself into the bad guy. Yeah, he fucked with her pills, but so what? If she hadn't been fucking around, it never would've happened, so no matter how you slice it, it all circles back around to her.

3 stars from me. The writing itself is great, but I can't get passed the bullshit message and the whiny, melodramatic poodle of a protagonist.

Yes it is. It certainly wasn't what I thought would happen. I can understand the hubby through all of this story. He did what he thought he had to do, the end. What I don't understand is, some of the commenters. Hubby felt bad, indeed he did. He still loved his wife. I think that's what the commenters don't understand, and there's a reason for that too. I also feel that the good doctor got off too easy. That son of a bitch should have suffered too. For all the readers know he could have been the one that started the whole thing, or for that matter, it could have been blackmail, the reader never got to read the report, or was it stated. Great Story

I am sorry that Jenny died. But I am not throwing rocks at Jake. There was no marriage to go back to or to try to salvage. There was great truth in every word he spoke to his son when his son begged him to reconcile with his mother. It is easy to tell others they should reconcile with a traitorous spouse. But when it happens to you, you realize what a hypocrite you were. Do traitorous spouses deserve a second chance? Certainly not! The ones that get that undeserved second chance should thank God and their benevolent spouse every day. But, if not, learn to deal with life without the support of that spouse you surgically removed from your life.

AnonymousAnonymousover 7 years ago
Husband is a moron, wife is a Harpy.

I couldn't really feel anything but disgust for husband or wife. The husband is an absolute moron to miss all the blatant clues, wifey's poor attitude, and then fall for the 6 month vag treatment - I mean, google it or ask a lady at work, for pity's sake. Doc tells him he can't have sex for 6 months and all he can do is be relieved that it's nothing worse? Seriously? They've cured cancer in less time than that. He even notices his wife smile at the prognosis and, I guess, thinks nothing of it. Idiot.

Now, something he can get excited about: cheesecake. He loves him some cheesecake. Disappointed when she doesn't bring it, then TICKLED PINK when she brings him a piece later on in the story. When he finally gets the bad news and realizes his marriage is over, he wrestles with what he has to do, how to do it, and remarks that he'll MISS THE CHEESECAKE. Six months without sex isn't that big of a deal I reckon, but no more cheesecake? That's bad. That's hitting below the belt, dammit.

The wife? She's a real sweetheart, isn't she? Judging from the story, she started the affair at least a couple of months before the 6 months of no-sex declaration. She has no problem cutting off her husband from sex for, what, 8+ months, but to make up for it, she also treats him with scorn, contempt. He is a moron, but c'mon; he's paid his dues. Throw him a bone, bitch.

The best thing about this story is that the author killed off the bitch ex-wife, because I think wimpy Jake was about ready to head back to the old battleaxe and beg for forgiveness for discovering she was a traitorous slut. "Welcome back, Jake. Are you hungry? I've got a big bowl of humiliation here for you, and if we have time later on, I'll kick you in nuts for an hour or two".

The story was good, but there wasn't much dialog, the characters felt unemotional, two dimensional. I felt like someone was giving me a synopsis of the story rather than actually reading the story. Also, it would be nice if you had some real-life men in your stories, not these weepy-eyed, candy-ass, bootlickers that walk around wringing their hands whining about how bad they feel and wondering if maybe they cut their balls off their cheating wives might take them back and kick 'em around some more. "Thank you sir! May I have another?"

Jake was married to Jenny for 25 years? One might be tempted to think that it makes sense for Jake to contemplate reconciling with Jenny, married for 25 years and all, but I beg to differ. That kind - and degree - of betrayal by your wife, your confidant, your best friend, the mother of your children, after 25 years of trust and love and then she pulls this crap??? No normal man, or woman for that matter, reconciles with a spouse capable of that level of cruelty and betrayal after "loving" them for 25 years. The 25 years doesn't serve to enable reconciliation, but exactly the opposite. The 25 years of marriage points out in specific relief, the egregious nature of that betrayal. So I'm glad the author killed the wife, it saved Jake from making a fool of himself and condemning him to live the rest of his life with a woman who couldn't care less about his well-being.

Didn't care at all for how Jake was treated by his kids or Cheryl.

I also do not see any love illustrated by Jenny towards Jake. Just hatred and contempt on a huge scale.

I don't really know what the author was going for here. The pregnancy was probably the most interesting plot line and should have been some fun for Jake while humiliating for Jenny and her lover.

Instead, it was taken in a dark direction to maybe induce guilt on the part of Jake?

Karma

I am a little disappointed that the doctor got away virtually free, the husband did not even contact the doctors wife to let her know what was going on behind her back. The doctor wife was every bit a victim and had the right to know too.

I cannot believe the attitude of Cheryl and his kids, Jenny had faked an illness with her lovers, so she could keep herself solely for her lover. She was an evil manipulative cunt.

Yes he fucked with her contraceptive pills but if she was the loving wife she was suppose to be, nothing would have happen, she got pregnant not from the actions of her husbands but because she was CHEATING.

Crikey when will cheaters take responsibility for there action, the wife was devastated after she was caught? Really? She never once thought that her evil actions might end in divorce? Give me a break, the only thing she was sorry for was getting caught & her lover leaving her in the lurch to protect his own career. I wonder how devastated she would have been if the doctor told her he would leave his wife to be with her?

Fuck her, she dead, good riddance!

Utterly incredible

A doctor has an affair with a patient, and the husband lets him off. Oh come on! I could have accepted the ending ( just) if the doctor had been exposed, as he should have been. Without this, it just grated. Pity

What a bunch of drivel...

... the doctor gets off easy...

... the husband does a sneaky, dirty deed..

... the wife is a cheat...

...sudden death for the ex-wife..

...and in the end no resolution for the husband..

...what a mess. Unfortunately not worth the time spent reading it....

#2 WHERE SHOULD THE SORROW LAY

and how to justify the blame, TK U MLJ LV NV

Another POS story

Where the husband is blamed in the end. His son does it, Cheryl implies it, etc, etc. Jake was right when trying to explain to his son what she did, how she thought, and why it is impossible to reconcile in that situation.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 7 years ago
What happened?

You probably wanted a reconciliation ending but realized you dug the hole too deep by the end of the story so you just ended it? We also get nothing at all from Jenny. No real confrontation which is often the best and most dramatic part of these stories. I'd be interested to know how she would possibly justify what she did or what she told to Cheryl.

Happy ending

You have to love a happy ending the bitch and her bastard die. Now the husband needs to grow a pair and fix the Doctor then retire to Florida.

Blame?

Jake IS NOT the bad guy here. Jenny got caught. Jenny refused to take responsibility for her cheating. Too bad.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 7 years ago

I agree with racfguy, not Jake's fault..

Another shitty one

You should consider stop writing if you didn't. Your stories are nothing but cliches, for of bullshit everywhere, you male character are always bullied by females and they take supposed "high road" when they are castrating themselves leaving their manhood behind. Another one that made the bullshit detector go high on the scale. Please, chose your plts wisely or quit writing.

Really???

Her lover the doctor gets away scot free to pursue other married patients and you have husband planning on taking wife back and raising bastard child...then you decide instead to have him live out his life in torment

I will grant you this one thing your stories run the gamut one is btb, then raac, then this husband is pathetic wimp completing the LW TRIFECTA

Cold, Bold, And Old

The more Blue stories you read, the more his talent can be appreciated. The language and structure are always excellent. Many writers have positive points but also have obtuse sentences and all sorts of dissonance, ie, the I/me plague of sloppiness, etc. Not Blue, though. Also, the ruminations and other various soliloquoying of his protagonists are revealing and genuine.

As far as problems with the plot one would have to say it is the shocking cruelty of the betrayal. The disrespect and sneery parameters of this cheat are well into noire-ish territory. After 25 years of a solid marriage one would think this level of betrayal doesn't fit. The wife was simply too mean. It's one thing to have something on the side but another to ramp it up into the devious and soul-crushing attack on the husband that this was.

So, we don't know enough about this woman to feel that this story is real. But, maybe that is the point. The husband is a smart guy, but he does have a bit of the "aw shucks"-thing going on.

Perhaps the author is willing to lay a minor charge of negligence on this husband. Personally, I think some blame is appropriate in this case. Letting your marriage fall far below that special stage of bristling affection, sexual activity, and other attentions is a fool's mistake. Especially with such an incredible hottie for a wife as in this tall tale. You're asking for trouble by being unimaginative and boring with your wife.

Sorry men. It takes two to tango. Guzzliing beer and watching dipshit-ball on the tv is the death knell for a spontaneous loving marriage. Just don't do it.

Also, the fact that this husband couldn't even get a little bit of natural revenge on this criminal doctor is something of an oddity. The seducer was extremely arrogant and hateful towards the husband. Retribution is absolutely necessary and would very likely be doing someone else a favor at the same time.

The real problem for me is that I do dislike the car crash, cancer, or sudden death syndrome plot elements. They rarely work for me. In this case there is the existential problem of the husband's medical interference with his wife's reproductive system. With the manner of sudden death, the reader is able to put the husband at fault - even if only in a secondary or tertiary way.

This story is ripe for an alternate ending scenario.

One thinks another Blue88 reading jag is in order as well.

Thank you, Blue, for your efforts. They are much appreciated by this reader.

good story

1st read. Infidelity is tough, no matter if your a woman or a man. When love is given, then betrayed, it hurts. If the parties remain alive, the hurt stays alive. If one dies, at least it ends.

good story

Can't understand why he had such a devoted love for his wife after the humiliation she heaped on him. Her callous cruelty would surely have killed off any love. Months of indifference and a total lack of respect will do that to a relationship.

Help the kids mourn then move on

She deserved everything that happened to her. I would hope he doesn't just blame himself and stop living. He needs to support his kids through the death then find a better partner and start living again.

confused

How gynecologist was allowed to skate free. So what he had to move. Considering the intimate nature of his practical, the husband allowed a predator continue to destroy marriages. Just does not make sense.

You find out a high schooler teacher has seduced your daughter. As punishment you make him transfer out of state and put other peoples's daughters at risk.

No sense or is it nonsense?
