Sharon said, "Your mum is right. We've done enough today. You need to reflect, take some time for yourselves."
Audrey said quietly, "I'm going down to the clearing to speak with mum and dad. I need to speak with them alone."
Sharon and I watched her. The resolve was there. She gone for almost an hour. When she came back, she was drained. She had been crying.
All she said, "The beam was there. When I finished, it shone brightly and left."
We had lunch and they left. I turned the shutter.
Tomorrow's a new day. One with hope!

Anonymous3 months agosadly,i'm sure there are drugs like the one[s], mentioned here . very possibly used to treat ptsd and other emotional traumas . how we treat those with emotional traumas can save their sanity and possibly their lives . misuse of drugs has been around for probably thousands of years .

Obviously too many readers are hurting themselves and want every story to BTB.
Well done I cried. I would have liked a happily ever after kind of an epilogue. one that talked about it not being an easy road back but worth the journey.
