Ok story. Page 18 on wasn’t very good. I’ve read others from you that are wonderful. This felt a little lost or rushed maybe. All the whiny begging threw me off. Every time baddy calls John start whimpering. It feels completely off for what he has become.

Very nice! Thank you for updating us on the sequel. I have read 4 or 5 of your stories over the last 3 years I've been on Lit. While recently rereading a personal favorite, "One Who Understands", for the fourth time, I also figured out how to follow authors as well as check daily for new releases. "Century Traveler" popped up today... after bingeing it I understand why it won. Eight awards over seven years is quite an accomplishment and reflects great credit on your ability to create art. I'll be digging deeper into your library to discover more of your well-written stories.

Not sure why this story was on my homepage as new and I thought the plot was a bit familiar when reading about the ring. Turns out I had read it at least a year ago. I gave it 5 stars then and it's still good, just wondering why it's posted as new.....................

None of your stuff is exactly short form, and even Jack's stories, which are at marginally stand alone should be read in context...

Loved the story, did think that Bellerose suddenly having a wolf in her kinda came out of nowhere and didn't add anything to this story, except for being a setup storyline thread for the next chapter...

You remind me of Patrick Rothfuss... Great writing, wonderful characters and storylines, but opening up way to many threads and writing yourself into a corner, because you're utterly incapable of tying up all the knots you've created in your storylines.

Decided to reread the story again once I found out that it had won an award. Still enjoyed it but think John should have ended up with Renée instead of Sasha, but maybe in the next installment that could happen, there's always hope. Thanks again.

I thought that it was interesting that you chose the Lesbian as the one character that John interacted with that was killed off. Something going on there? Anyway, this was a great read.

Riveting story, certainly needs a sequel

I expect more chapters eventually given this was a event winner. Obviously it would be interesting to read a continuation of the existing thread, but if John survives, it would also be very interesting to catch up with him in a few hundred years to see how he's fared and whether he's remained uncorrupted.

So who were his parents and what is he?

Like Kritta, a commenter of a few days ago, I too had previously read this story (when it first came out) and I remembered parts of it, but not the ending, ... because it didn't really end, it just set up for the next installment(s), ... this was a BurntRedstone wonderful story, completely enjoyable, .... Great story. I don't thing think it was too long and had nice character development as far as John Doe was considered. There are SOOOOO many possibilities for follow up stories. Like what MR Sass did before meeting John Doe, what happens next to the trio of wolf spirits, and maybe the detective his own story too. Lots of directions to go. Whether you chose to do so is of course up to you. Either way, I really enjoyed this story.
