I really liked it. Something else entirely. You took your time setting the scene, the plot is well structured and does not go for cheap thrills, which would have been so easy.

If there is a downside to it: I could never wank to it, because the sex scenes are just too over the top and Danny is at least thus far a sociopath. But i think that might be intentional.

Anyway I will keep reading. Especially looking forward to Lori's development. Her character is the most intriguing to me, she is a bit ambiguous

This is one of the most fun stories I've read in years. Scenes set up so well and the characters, especially the interactions between Jason and Danny latterly and then "retard" Jason and his dad. The women are not left out either. So refreshing, so over the top in parts I was too busy chuckling to take it all in. A re-read is a definite.

This story makes me feel like a pervert, a literature/film connoisseur, and a trained seal all at the same time.

A protagonist being smart with a power... plodding, layered... extreme (yet soooo reasonable) ... GREAT ... the sports/team dialogue ... the absurd but supportive family atmosphere ... words cannot fully express it ...

I want to see this as a movie (a real film)... BUT I know it wouldn't be done justice today ... it would require the acting and production of mainstream productions and that hasn't happened since the late 70s ... IF this was written and filmed back in Tom Byron's youthful hey day ... It could have been a vintage porn iconoclast similar to the American Taboo series, Butterflies, That's Amore, etc.

You're right, it's pretty ridiculous. But you tell the story well enough to "suspend disbelief." I keep getting pulled along by the plot and characters, (as thin as they are), with occasional pauses to bust out laughing my ass off. Very entertaining.
