I loved your story, and had a lot of fun reading it ! I thought the twist was really original and I did not expect it at all. It was fun reading it a second time knowing what was really going on. It was also a breath of fresh air among all the other entries that I unfortunately find quite similar to each other in this specific contest. A great surprise overall and clever writing.
