Sammy and Mikey wandered slowly arm along the pavement behind me relishing my state of pure embarrassment. On reaching the car, Mikey turned and kissed my wife as he slowly fumbled to find his remote to unlock the car. "Now then Cuckella, remember to keep it elegant as you get in to the car -- otherwise I'll send you home by public transport!" he grinned. Sammy laughed, thinking that might be a very good idea,
Before unlocking the doors to let me in, Mikey wandered around to the boot, opened it and carefully, slowly and deliberately packed my things away for the journey. He then walked Sammy to the front passenger door and opened it with his key, helping her in. Only then did he open the rest of the doors with his remote control "Now then Cuckella, remember, composure at all times!" he warned as I moved to open the door and climb in. I did so as elegantly as I could. Not easy in 4 inch heels and being unused to navigating such tasks.
"Knees together, tilt to the left and draw your knees into the car slowly" Tara's coaching was ringing in my ears.
"That's the last time we fetch and carry for you Cuckella." Mikey said as he slid into the driver's seat. "From now on, it'll be you fetching and carrying for us." Sammy kissed him once more. "Phase one of your training is going quite well I think." Mikey squeezed my wife's thigh. "And your wife and I have had a wonderful week too. I'm rather getting to like this life Cuckella. I suggest you get used to it." As if I had any choice in the matter.
