I, too, was amazed that she washed his hair AFTER cutting it while the rest of the world does it first. It's not just that the author is a woman, because women's stylists do the same. I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention in the middle, but the whole Paul/Pauline thing escaped me. I was also surprised that Vicki was a large woman. Perhaps I should read these a little closer or not at all. I can say for sure that I really didn't like this tale and I won't bother with this author again. 3*
