Great way to pick up the story

I like the story, but all your stories could be so much better if you injected them with a little more conflict. Its weird too, but the mother is always absent from all these stories. In this story the protagonist's mom or dad could be a great device to make this even more interesting. I mean, he met his long lost grandmother, doesn't he want to meet his long lost father too? Maybe he has new siblings he never heard about, yet crickets from you with no explanation about his lack of interest. Still, since this is an on going story line I still give it 5 stars in hopes you throw some of those details in.
