How are they texting in space? Cell towers are all on the Earth's surface, definitely out of range. Satellite phones exist, but do they work in orbit? Is the training ship's orbit above or below the telecommunication satellites? How are the astronauts sending email to the surface? How will they communicate with each other and with Earth once they are actually on a ship to Mars?
