A long-distance boyfriend who is guaranteed to turn up unexpectedly at the worst possible moment

A random marriage proposal between two characters who don't even know each other, seemingly on a whim, but happens to kick off the whole plot.

Just fantastic stuff. Can't wait to see where you take it from here. Maybe Smith was Gossip Girl all along!
