Confusing

I know i's fiction and anything can happen in fiction, depending on the context. The woman giving birth a month and half after being fucked by the guy? I just don't get that.

The wording's a bit confusing, yes. But the sex scene took place 7 1/2 months before the time of the story telling, and the birth happened 1 1/2 after that. So that's 9 months.
