It's odd to feel sympathy for the villain of a LW story. A different and well told story. Nicely done.
Red Sox reference :)
Seriously, this was awesome
not badly done at all. More fill out characters and painted a solid picture of what's going on . Not alot of useless words or wasted situations. The whole daddyvdid things angle was also filled in but not overly. 5 stars motredahe32
I really enjoyed it. Humor and adventure makes a great combination. Thanks for posting this.
Whoa! I think I'm going to have to read this one again in a little bit. Got interrupted by the dog twice (I live to the schedule of his bladder and bowel functions, and when a car goes by that he decides to bark at.) And then there's the cat. A needy cat that needs to knead.
But I got enough in the fractured portions that I read to know it's a good one.
So, on a dark and moonless night, with rain coming down, when the better half, the dog, and the cat are all sound asleep, I tackle this again, in one go, and give it the attention it deserves.
A great story, but also an ...oddly sympathetic villain. But you're right, this was a Friday late-night slasher movie. I loved the rollercoaster ride feel of this!
Well, that was totally unexpected, and an excellent read! Five Stars from this old Jarhead. BTW, I had to bring Miss Miley up on YouTube while I read your story. She does do a good version of 50 Ways, but I'm way old enough to like the original better.
PS: any Shack stories coming? Been a long time. Hope you and the Misses stay safe, & Love to you both. Semper Fi!
Not what I expected to read but quite the story. Even short as it was , it was the perfect little horror story. Only the dead wife needed to revive one more time. They always ride from the dead just when things calm down. Fun s th key to read on a day of fun stories. Thanks for writing !
a story song is going to get embedded in a story motivated by the song... got it.
Oddly enough, I could feel the attempt to detach in the story. Making the antagonist a screaming lunatic might help... but the last "daddy?" did grab at me.
Entertained? I was... but horror films haven't been my fave. Even so, your portrayal of the world feels very familiar.
Looking forward to any of the completed projects, if they are for public consumption.
Green-something
(kinda 'Janie's got a gun'...)
Hell's teeth! That I wasn't expecting!
A mighty fine read, pity about Cash.
Sublime, as ever. This was right out of Tales from the Crypt, and felt so right sitting in the gloom, reading it late at night. I needed popcorn.
Damn.
This was a different turn of events.
Storytellers? I'd say that's a yes.
You and your wife have an interesting take on the things you bring to a story. I really enjoy your work. Normally, LW is not where you would expect to find a slasher movie, but you made it work. BZ
A little darker than what I am used too, but a crazy story non-the-less.
I'll check out your other work.
Great! Totally original and a real roller coaster ride. Great read. Missy deserves her own story. Thank you
I appreciate your hard work. that's about all the complements I have for this story.
Wow, that was crazy! Caroline was terrifying but I felt really sorry for her too.
One of the most surprisingly different and entertaining stories I've read in a while. Well done!
All I have to say is Thank You for this very good story...5*
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It's super psycho bitch wife.
Thank you for that.
I'm sideways coming back to read what you and the missus have written because, as you pointed out, you're story tellers.
BZ
If you ever wondered why Todd has 7 stories in the top 20 LW hall of fame this explains why. Different tale from you but excellent in every way, thank you.
This is my favorite! Thanks!
You have proved that you have a gift, and we are thankful that you are so willing to share that gift with us.
Thank you for an excellent tale.
5/5
Suspenseful, then absolutely heart-pounding--I'm just glad no one tried to interrupt my reading in the middle of page 2, I would have thrown my coffee mug at them! This one was sad and twisty and completely fantastic.
Thanks, ohio
A good read, felt a bit rushed. l never say this but it was a good 3 pager, would have been a great 6 page story
I'm not a fan of horror/slasher movies and stories, but this was really excellent.
Well that was different from anything I was expecting to read in this series but it was done really well. I will definitely have to read a few more of your stories.
One of the most original stories I’ve read on Literotica....also one of the best. Very, very well done.
Hands down one of the best goddamn writers on the whole website!
A bit to gory from me.
But it reminded me of a line in a song;
"I'm way past crazy, heading for insane".
Bat-shit-crazy doesn't begin to cover it! And none-too-smart also fits the bill. Entertaining but a little dark for my liking. Thanks for the effort.
4 stars
That was a an unusual take on a LW story. She wasn't cheating, she was hunting. Somebody needs to pick this one up and make a movie. It's prime drive in theater fare. Great, fun story as always.
So he married an insane person, and had no clue. Apparently an insane person who chose him because he resembled a man she hated, wanted to torture and kill. Always difficult to swallow "walking coma" spouses, the ones who might as well have been lobotomized as part of the wedding ceremony. But she wasn't just insane, she was brilliant, apparently kept a great job, which employer paid her to travel to different cities and kill people. She even killed the guy who figured out she was connected to murdered people. Guess he was walking in a coma too?
But Missy wasn't fooled. Missy could tell from just, oh, almost nothing, that the insane wife was committing adultery. Guess in hind sight everyone wishes that's all it was, some fucking around. And we don't even know if she was fucking them before she killed them. Since she apparently hated Frank, the abuser, she probably was a chaste murderer. But at least Missy could tell something wasn't right, even if she was wrong about what wasn't right.
So this story is like eating something that tastes good, but is really nasty once you think about it. Like snails?
Anyway, thanks for the effort.
I missed some bits as I was reading, got caught up in the dialogue. That's a good thing, right? Means i will be reading it again.
Thank you,
Norman_Sands
Full marks for a great story, writing, and originality. Well done. Thanks for posting.
Wonderful creative use of a song lyrics in a humorous adventure story.
Quite enjoyable.
Thanks
Thanks to you both. I started it one day and finished it two days later after having my gall bladder removed on the day in between so the distraction is even more appreciated! Take care and stay healthy.
Excellent.
I'll try not to be a hoggy pig and beg for more shack stories, oh well I guess I just did didn't I. 😀
A little bit of erotic horror, a serial killer, thrown in to get the heart pumping. A fun and good read.
There is nothing wrong with hanging around Missy as long as you know what she is like. Lee doesn't need to marry her, just fuck her. She's OK with that.
Poor Cash. It seems it is deadly to hang around Lee.
Thanks to the two of you! Fun and enjoyable story! Loved the Missy character, absolutely wonderful lines.
Killian
So who privatel insurance investigator has information that his friends wife is a mass serial killer and leaves it in a folder ...doesn't tell the husband ...and doesn't tell the police.???!!!??
And people think this is a good story?
What PI, who has to get to the airport, has his friend meet him at a decaying school in a ghost town? Why not meet at the airport? Plus, this is a friend. A pattern must have emerged as he compiled the folder - but he didn’t think his friend deserved an earlier warning?
Definitely different, but probably would work better in a Halloween competition.
Your stories are the only stories on Literotica that my wife reads. We started at the first and she read them all to me. Everytime I see one she'll read it. Keep writing. We will keep reading.
I loved your allusion to the Paul Simon song 50 ways to leave your lover. Do you have anything published for sale? I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Not at all what I thought I was walking into but it was a damn good story in my opinion. Thank you
She sabotaged his car. How did they drive it away from there rather than the PI's car?
I don’t know when I last gave a one star to an author(s) who I normally like. This story was IMHO just awful.
One of the unexpected gifts you grow to expect from the Loving Wife category... Thanks 5 stars.
She fixed me with a glare. "Easy for you say. If I'd known what was gonna happen I wouldn't be dressed like the dumb-ass bimbo who dies five minutes into the damn movie."
Fantastic line.
look what she does, no peas porridge in the pot. TK U MLJ LV NV
Second time, still a good story, great lines and realistic running from the bad guy (girl).
You other stores are very good also. You and your wife make a great team.
To the couple of folks who missed how Missy and he wound up at the school, the BSC wife sent the message, she already had Cash under control. It helps if you watch and/or read a lot of mystery stuff.
Five * and forces me to continue binge reading your writing. What a great writing team. I hate to have to post anon, but it is what it is. The world isn't the way I'd like to have it, but I'll live with what I've got. At least there are wonderful story tellers out there!
Really good. Would have been even better with Popcorn! Loved the Kissy character. Such a visual.
Really liked your slasher story. A little different than norm which is good. And he thought he had just a run of the mill cheating wife.
GREAT story! Forgot I'd read it several years ago, and halfway thru page 1 I started remembering! Pretty twisted and enjoyable! Thanks for sharing!
Second or third time through. 5* as are all of yours and the Missus' stories.
Not the first time through. Damn it is still the rating this site let's have.
Have absolutely loved each and every story you have on this site, been through each at least twice. The shack series is the best however St, Clair, Soldier Girl series is a close second.
The Low Road brings back many memories, lives needlessly wasted through shallow people. One instance comes to mind when our sister ship the USS Chanticleer, got underway for Westpac, a few members had been transferred to our ship the USS Greenlet. They had not replaced their shoulder patch yet and were on liberty when they stopped into the EM Club, this within 3 hours of the Chanticleer having set sail for a 6 months deployment. There were a bunch of women sitting at tables in the club with male sailors. As soon as someone in the group notice these sailors who they thought were out in the Pacific heading for Japan, they panicked, and wanted to know what had happened. These guys said that the ship had mechanical problems and returned to Pearl Harbor about 1 hour before.
They couldn't believe how fast the club had emptied out. This was in late 1961. No wars were going on thank God. By the same token I couldn't believe how many married sailors were at the head of the line at the gangplank waiting for liberty call when we first landed in Yokosuka, Japan on my first cruise.
What the Everlasting Fuck was that? That was the single creepiest thing I've read in a long time! Another amazing story. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go sleep with a light on and side eye the wife for the next week.
Not my thing..... Interesting plot but way beyond anything I would CHOOSE to read, watch or listen to. It has a few unexpected 'turns', some of which simply do not fit the plot. I can't really understand why some commenters like it so much but some people like horror movies, fast roller coasters and uncomfortably hot saunas.. Vive La differences! Let's all enjoy our uniqueness... Not enough for me to award stars! Thank You.
For those who want to throw their money at todd here is a comment that he put in a place where very few would read it.
We have novelized the first three Needles and Delaney stories into an ebook on Amazon, titled, originally enough as "Needles and Delaney." We did that partly because so many have asked us to, partly because it was just something new to do, and partly as to protect the work - there are people who skim sites for stories then publish them as ebooks under false names. Some of the real heavy hitters here have had that happen to them.
Doc Spirit 3
A well written good fun read. There are very few female serial killers it's usually the playground of the males. Gonna go and check to see if there's a follow up, would be nice if he and missy remarried she certainly has deep feelings for him still.
Thank you for your time and effort. I am always amazed at the imagination and skills of the ‘ Lit’ contributors. It is is always easy to demean someone’s stories. As my old HoD used to tell me “If you don’t like it, you do it” . For the life of me I don’t have the skills or the imagination to compete I wish I did!
That certainly kept me on the edge. One of the most different stories I've read. Awesome
Interesting, definitely not what I was expecting. Would love to see a sequel... Did Lee ever find someone to love?
thanks, kind of a LOL story. Brighten's my day versus watching Ukraine getting destroyed. Which reminds me! Will all the property insurers claim their policies don't cover "Acts of War" ?
You wanted to do something "less heavy" ???? Not sure what to say to that statement.
Great story, though.
All They Had To Do
Was hide behind the chainsaws, but no, they had to go for the car.
...
Decades ago I had a young lady asked if anything I saw in a movie or on TV scared me. My answer was "No not as long as I can see the edges of the screen." A while later I had to rethink that a bit. Years earlier my girlfriend and I were at the Auto Theater on a Friday or Saturday night, the first movie was 'The Town That Dreaded Sundown", very loosly based on real events in Texarkana. I was ok until the killer yanked the distributor cap and wires loose with the hood uo while the kid was trying to start the car. I can guarantee no one in my car got laid that night.
...
I'm old enough to remember who's credited with the line about doubling the chance of getting a date. Great take on the slasher movies. If you fuck, you die. *****'s. Signed: BTW
Great story! It scared me too death. Long time since thats happened. And we hardly got to know Catherine.
Pretty good writing for a couple of story-tellers! Five stars ⭐️ for this one.
I feel bad for Caroline. Some people get damaged so badly that they remain broken. She clearly wasn’t in her right mind. Not conning what she did, but I understand it.
Enjoyed everything you have written. When there isn't much else interesting in loving wives I start on yours again. Maybe I'm lazy hell,I am lazy. I have been a movie stunt man. A model for a leading men's clothing brand, and pro rodeo cowboy for many years. I am now retired and a rancher. I am a very small fish in a big lake. My farm is one of the oldest in the US still owned by the same family. Your stories are great. You paint a very precise picture with a broad brush. Please vote conservative. Cowboy
