so I think servants and those who give satisfaction should be treated with appropriate respect, not contempt and dismissal. Unless they feel grateful to be demeaned (because then, after all, one is respecting their desires).

It's obvious that this is fantasy, and it eludes to the fact that the slave enjoys the dynamic.
