he should have listend to the police in real life he would be dead!! couze of the simple fact that he handled that situation like an dumbass. he should have picked up something attacked straigt away go for the kill with guy number one and knock out the other one and the third would stay hidden in his litle world. and as result he would not have been hurt so its all on himself for acting like a dumbass

There is real emotional depth to this story which rewards reading and re-reading. The story draws the reader in from the start and makes you really care about the characters. Jeff, the eponymous hero, is filled with self doubt, Sarah is damaged and her family have suffered right along with her yet somehow the story manages to heal these damaged people without ever being cloying or overly sentimental.

Even though she knew, felt it in every bone in her body, he NEVER said I love you. Why? Words even if not necessarily needed are still extremely important. So tell me author why didn't the hero say I love you? THAT has always bothered me ever time I read this beloved story.

Jeff put a finger under her chin and tilted her head up so he could look her in the eyes. "Sarah, I don't just care about you, I love you."

A Tale rich in content, thought and is VERY well written. Your knowledge of the Martial Arts, particularly the philosophy many of us try to live, was impressive as well. This was beyond, SO far beyond a typical read and spank the monkey that it nearly defies description. An ACTUAL, fully developed story (with some very nicely written spice) like you would read in a book or something. I will be reading your other work as well. WELL DONE, Sir!

She says it to him a few times and he just stays quiet. You know he loves her but now its bugging me, like that bad vibe where one party is in love and the other doesnt want to commit or give false hopes so says nothing, lol.

I first read this story years ago and enjoyed it. Then today, clicked a link for this story as the title sounded interesting. I didn't remember the story at first, until our hero was in the hospital and couldn't see. Then I slowly remembered as we got to the big reveal.

It's ironic - we call wild animals "savage", yet the adjective better applies to Sarah's rapist. He gave her the scar in a fit of spiteful anger, an emotion unique to humans.

I fully understand Sarah's desire to hide, as we instantly judge people when we meet them, typically concentrating on the physical - ethnicity, appearance, height, weight. And yet, none of us can control our ethnicity, our height, and in the case of Sarah, her scar. But she is right, people will notice it and fixate on it.

I don't remember if I left a comment then, but my feedback would have been the same. I'm glad Sarah found someone who appreciates her for who she is, and not based on her appearance - though I can't help but wonder if the same result would have occurred had Jeff had his sight - I sincerely hope so.
