You got the pacing right—it was quite consistent and emotionally sensible. And your treatment of Pearl's impatience to "get busy" with Connor might be the best thing in the story. If it weren't for the depth and sophistication of Pearl's character. Very well done, I have to say.

VERY good story, and nicely written. This is the kind of plot I can never seem to think of, but sorta wish I could. Nice work.
