I should wake Connor up and get him to drive me home so I could be ready to go to work early tomorrow. I should get out of this house before I ran into my boss. I should... I didn't care what I should do. I would worry about all that tomorrow, I decided, and then I fell back to sleep.

daytonakrysover 2 years agoYou got the pacing right—it was quite consistent and emotionally sensible. And your treatment of Pearl's impatience to "get busy" with Connor might be the best thing in the story. If it weren't for the depth and sophistication of Pearl's character. Very well done, I have to say.
