Insomnia has all the promise of a great story! Intriguing characters, wonderful descriptions, and a little suspense to leave readers wanting more (especially me!)

I like the indirect buildup to the locked out scenario; cleaver and polished. I especially liked the bit about the cat staring helplessly out the window. Truly a delight. Thank you.

When I got to the end my first thought was Prick, it's just getting good.

So despite my initial comment it seems to be a well written story that I have enjoyed so far and am looking forward to reading more.
