I miss his innocence in using the watch

that he would seduce her to fall in love with him by stopping time, his skill in mastering time

but that would make the whole story different, yet you describe characters that could make that possible

Your story is similar to one in the old tv series. Except in the end, the man with the watch broke it when robbing a bank. He was stuck frozen in time forever. Nice try though
