DiTo_D has said some very kind things about me and my editing. I want to say “thanks”to her for that. It doesn’t happen often. Mostly, the give and take between an author and an editor is closer to a war than to a discussion. We haven’t worked that way. I suggest changes. Sometimes, she accepts, or counters with a third option. Sometimes, she says, “No, do it my way.” And, since she’s the author, she wins, LOL. And, that’s the way it should be. The author is the creator; an editor just nibbles around the edges trying to polish the rough gem the author provides. I’m proud to have been able to help DiTo_D tell her story in her own way. Assuming we stay healthy, there should be more chapters to come. And, she’s promised me a dinner, if I ever get to Europe. This is almost as much fun for me as writing my own stuff. RandyD1369
