I wouldn't worry about similar stories having been written before. After all, how many truly new plots are there? Fundamentally, all of literature can probably be summarized in a dozen or less plots. So, what matters is the style of the writing, the word choice, the tone, the pacing, and all those other things that distinguish good writing from crap.
It was well written, but I didn’t find any entertainment in it at all.
Why should I be beheaded 26thNC ?
So I could turn into a brainless moron like you ?
