She almost lost me. I was so angry at her for abuse, pushing, and pushing. It seemed to me she was breaking him in a horrible way. The very last line saved her bacon. Sometimes you have to let you and your partner both go, if you don't, you'll shatter your world and he won't put up with the consuming time if the reward isn't worth it.

Author, it was a good read, excellent punctuation and spelling, and considerate of your audience's intelligence.
