Thank you for a wonderful story of love and devotion. I too grew up in a small town. Fortunately, it wasn't as narrow minded as Pierce; at least I don't think it was. I'm not gay so can't be sure about that. For me, the most important part of your story was Tilly's integrity and courage. She would not live a lie. Maybe it is only a story but it is one that touched me because I have a lot of difficulty acting with that sort of courage. Stories such as Tilly's help me and I thank you for writing such a good story.
