As I sat down next to my sisters like I was in line for the guillotine Kevin snickered "OK bitches -- what the fuck is going on?"
Epilogue:
After a lot of tears, figurative arm twisting, yelling by the males, and two hellish nights, the guys got together and went out drinking telling the three of us "Not to wait up, and don't complain if we bring some whores back."
Fortunately they didn't bring whores back and were hung over the next day. While they were carousing Julie, Gail and I made a decision. We would once again, as we had many times earlier that weekend, admit that we had done wrong and once again apologize. Then we would tell them they had the best lives, including sexual, that any guys they knew and we would stick to the present arrangements, or the three of us would get divorces -- and custody of their precious kids.
To our surprise, when presented with the ultimatum when they finally sobered up the next day all three guys simply said "OK; but we're requiring you all to get distinctive tattoos on a normally visible part of your body. There will be no switching in the future; and you'll sign a post-nup to that effect and that no one in the families will ever be told."
Four months later things are great for all of us. The guys admit that the switch was better for their sex lives, and there is no way to tell us apart not only visually but by personality; only sexual proclivities distinguish us. In conformance with our sexual preferences I'm sporting a shark tattoo on my ankle, Norma (formerly Gail) a hawk, and Gail (formerly Julie) a butterfly.
We triplets and our husbands and kids occasionally socialize with our extended families; all of them sincerely believe we are who we assumed the identities of. Everyone seems content. We never told anyone of Dr. Hager's involvement.

DukeofPaducah20 days agoCaution: Hungry Hungry Hippo crossing ahead. 🦛 I like a twist as much as the next fella. This had a spiral like a long-bomb football. I have to read these characters in the context of parody. I get a little too ahngry otherwise.
I can offer a couple explanations regarding the sisters’ behavior. One is they shared a womb with only one brain available. Or when God passed out sense they thought he said ‘defense’ and they said, ‘We only play at one end of the court, like LeBron.’
I’m teasing. I found this story delightful.

JuanTwoNoover 1 year agoFor some reason that I really can't explain, this seems to me as though it should belong in the humor category. It was one fun read. It is fiction, and as fiction should be judged on that basis. So the utter implausibility, while abnormal in real life, isn't any problem to me here. Especially so were it in the humor category. Inplausibility works best in that genre. The only aspect I'd like to see treated differently is an explanation of just how as a tech wizard Kevin figured the girls' scheme out. Apart from that, however, it's still a 5 for me. Hypothetically speaking. Oh yeah! I love your hypothetical photograh, too. That's a 10, at least.

otrebor76over 1 year agoThe idea was imaginativo, and i have the rating on that, but then you could do so much with it but went totally barren literarily speaking. No deph of characters, you could at least choose one to develop. You had só much but (the end) came with 2 strokes.

mattenwover 1 year agoEven laughing was hard for me. I know there's nothing more perverted than the human mind, but what's good about your comedy swap? Three characterless women who play with their husbands' feelings as if it were totally normal. And why should men play the game? Except of course in your imagination. Or do you really want to have to live with someone who you know isn't actually your chosen partner just because they might be better at sex?

Another fun little romp. I think many men would have been happy with the swapping if they had been up front about it (even after a while).
But I also understand that no matter what the occasion or who the person, you won't share your partner with anyone else.

Frank66over 1 year agoOriginal plot, but way too much left out for it to be a good story. The ending reads like a Wikipedia entry, and the girls didn't 'get' greedy, they WERE greedy. We're not told how they were found out, but it was a given, sooner or later, whether with these guys or others.
