He sighed heavily into her bosom, encircling her arms around her waist and deciding to live in the now. With a glance he looked out the glass elevator wall, trying see how far up they'd come up from the other buildings. His breath caught in his throat.

There were no other buildings.

His eyes widened to saucers as he looked down on the glowing cityscape beneath them, his stomach deciding now was the right time to do a series of backflips. He'd never thought he had a fear of heights, but then again he'd never really been this high up with only a single piece of glass standing between him and a long, long drop. His legs started trembling as his knees went weak. If not for Rhia's embrace he might have collapsed to the floor right then and there.

"Are you okay?" Her voice sounded worried as she felt him shivering in her arms.

"Mmmm, yeah. Wow...we're...really high up." His voice cracked from the apprehension he felt. He could feel his hands and feet growing cold and clammy.

"Yeah, it's not much farther- Uh, no!" Her voice went from blasé to worry as she looked down at him. "Giddy, are you scared of heights?"

"Uhhmm...I didn't think I was? But now, I'm not so sure." His arms tightened around her.

"Aww, don't worry little elf," She purred mischievously as she pulled him so hard into her body he began having a little trouble breathing. "Rhiannon won't let anything happen to you."

He believed her. Her strong arms around him made him feel so safe, despite having seen how high they were. He felt the anxiety draining away, the cold fear which had frozen his hands and feet quickly thawing as he grew warm in the comforting cuddle.

*DING*

The elevator doors opened quietly as the two stared into each other's eyes before she loosened her embrace and guided him out. The elevator opened up into the middle of a long, austere hallway, with each termination ending in a large black door. She led him to the right of the corridor, her boots echoing loudly as their hard soles clacked against the swirled white and black polished marble, until before he knew it they were stopped in front of it.

After quickly swiping her finger against a third bio-metric pad, a series of heavy metallic *clanks* came from the door before it silently swung open of its own accord, and he was ushered inside by the burly arm around his shoulders, until he felt it slip from him as he stepped in the door softly closed behind, leaving him in total darkness.

The interior of the apartment lit up as he entered, revealing the spacious interior of the entryway and a long, wide hallway that seemed to lead into a large main room. He followed the bright light to the end of the corridor, going past several doors on either side before reaching the end.

The entryway hall opened into the large lounge room, revealing an oval shaped main living room, sumptuously furnished, that even by itself was 4 or 5 times the size of his entire apartment. Its vaulted ceiling reached up two levels, and he could see a silver railed walkway above him in the reflection of the large curved 2-storeyed window made of a single seamless piece of reinforced glass that looked out onto the city below. Even from 30 or 40 feet back he felt a little bit of vertigo grip him, realising again just how far up the were.

Looking up as he moved in a little more he saw the silver banistered walkway curved around fully half the circumference second level. He could see more doors and hallways up there. Gods, just how big was this place? He must have been gawking like a slack jawed simpleton, because he heard a tittering come from behind him. He jerked around, and growing flushed, embarrassed she'd seen his silly gawping.

"That was pretty much my reaction the first time I saw this place, too." She said with warmth as she slipped around behind him and wrapped him in her arms again, shuffling them both into the main space of the living room.

"Wha-?...This place...you live here?" Bewilderment still in his voice as he gazed around.

"Yeah...it's not mine, though. It belongs to my company. One of the perks of my job."

"What do you even do? You never really told me at lunch." He said, remembering how she'd glossed over it when he'd asked.

"Ever hear of 'Jameson&Hersh'?"

"Nnnooooo...? Should I have?"

"Not unless you own a multinational that needs the best marketing in the business."

"Are you like, the CEO?"

"Hah hah, no. If I was I might be able to buy the whole tower! I'm just a lowly Junior VP in charge of acquisitions." In retrospect he would realize she sounded more than a little uncomfortable saying her title, but unfortunately in his confused excitement he completely missed the cue.

"'Just' a Junior VP? Rhiannon the Bloody, a corporate executive who lives in an ivory tower. Like literally!"

"No, its-" Her tone was becoming a little more strained now.

"You could buy and sell someone like me."

"I wouldn't-" She sounded exasperated now, and annoyed at having been interrupted again.

"You could buy all the guys and girls you could ever want! Just one look at you and this place and they'd be dropping to their knees-"

"Is that what you think!?" It was her turn to interrupt him as her sudden shout almost seemed to shake the air, her hands shaking as they gripped at his clothes. "Is that...really who you think I am?" Shocked out of his lightheaded stupefaction he easily caught it now, the hurt in her voice.

Gods, what had he done? Why couldn't he stop goading her like that?

What a joke...he knew why. His insecurity was almost like a self-fulfilling prophecy at this point. Here was someone who had taken him in, and he was trying to push her away...to convince her she was making a mistake by just associating with him.

"Rhia I'm...I'm sorry, I didn't mean-"

"It's...just a goddamn job." She suddenly sounded very tired, the annoyance draining from as her arms went slack and slowly slipped from him.

He felt awful as she stepped past him and walked over to the edge of the titanic window with her arms crossed over her chest, looking out onto the glowing miniature city below and leaving him alone there on the edge of the room. He'd done it again, they'd been having a good time again, and he'd come this close to blowing the chance of a lifetime with the woman of his dreams because of his damned self-esteem issues. He needed to fix this.

Pushing through another dizzying spell of vertigo he made his way over to her, and stopped to her side. He wanted to reach out and touch her, but he couldn't invade her space while she looked so vulnerable. So he just looked up at her in silence, and waited for her to talk in her own time, chewing on his bottom lip nervously.

After some time, and still avoiding his eyes, she finally cleared her throat.

"My father...she's on the company's board. That's how I got my start there...But I worked long and hard to get where I am! In fact, I had to work twice as hard as anyone just to try and prove I wasn't getting 'special treatment'. I worked my ass off!" He stared, wide eyed, as she bared this hidden part of herself, still feeling like garbage to have put her in this mood.

"I worked 70...80 hour weeks. Sometime weeks I never even went home, I just slept at the office. Worked and slept, worked and slept, like a machine. But it was killing me..." His eyes misted as his heart ached for her. "I felt dead and hollow, even when it all finally paid off. Even when I was promoted and given this place, this 'ivory tower', I didn't feel anything." He cringed as she threw his words back at him, but knew he deserved it for being so unwittingly callous.

"I drank because I thought it would help me relax, and yes, I slept around with men and women because I wanted to feel something. I wanted a connection with someone...anyone. They saw this place, though, and that's all they cared about. They saw me, and they-..." She broke off again, her voice catching as she held something back again.

"I was at my wits end, honestly. I don't know how much longer I would have gone before burning out, but then...I found the game." Some life came back to her voice and he saw the barest hint of a smile on her lips. "Just by chance, really. I was drinking one night, and I remembered playing tabletop Dungeoneering as a kid with my older sister and her friends, and I thought 'fuck it'. I ordered the online game and a VR console set that night. 2 hours later a drone delivered it, I signed in...and I've never looked back." He stayed silent as she continued, hopeful that his inaction might have a better effect than any of his past disastrous actions.

"I started to want to come home. I met people who liked me for what they saw through the virtue of my actions and values, rather than how much use I was to them or how hard I worked for them. And then, I met you..." She finally looked at him, the sadness and exhaustion gone from her face, replaced with a warm, contented smile.

"You most of all, Giddy." The warmth with which she spoke his name sent a thrill through him, as she reached out and cupped his cheek in one of her large, rough hands. "You didn't know anything about me, and I didn't know anything about you. You joined the guild and in your first dungeon, when I thought you'd end up going down to a slime or some other level 1 mob, you actually ended up saving me from the boss."

"C'mon...I mean, I would've been KO-ed if you hadn't saved my butt a bunch of times...you were amazing Rhia..." He finally broke his silence, smiling bashfully from her compliment, and touch, at the recollection of their first quest together.

"I thought you were amazing, too..." Her smile and voice faltered at the last, and she had to clear her throat before continuing. "And you never stopped amazing me. You inspired me, Giddy. I know it might sound weird, but I admire you. You're so determined, and strong, and good... Does all this...really bother you?" She asked sombrely as she removed her hand from his cheek and gestured to the large room.

"Does it change who I am? Does it mean I'm not the person you spent time with? That you laughed with, and fought with, and...saved out there on the battlefield?...Do...do you not like me anymore?" She interlaced her fingers, wringing them anxiously as she watched him, waiting.

"Of course I like you!" She didn't need to wait long as he practically shouted his response immediately upon her finishing. "Rhiannon, I'm sorry...I guess I was just in, I don't know...shock? But this place, I know you've probably heard this before, but it doesn't matter to me. You're all that matters to me, and I know you're still the same person, regardless of whether you live here, or a one bedroom downtown shithole, like me." She smiled a little, her spirit buoyed by his words.

"Knowing how you got it, though, the work you put in...if anything I think I admire you more than ever. I'm just so happy that...that I could be useful to you somehow, you know?" His nose stung again as his eyes misted. "That even if I couldn't do much, that I was there for you, and helped make your life a little brighter just like...how you made my life brighter. You make my life worth living, Rhia..." He looked into her dark orbs and saw she was tearing up, too.

"You're...you're the only reason I can get up some days. I get depressed, and I want to just...I'm not in a good place. But then I think about you, and I start to look forward to seeing you again in the game, and I start thinking about what you'd do, that you wouldn't give up. You'd always do your best, and-" He stopped as she stepped over and embraced him again, holding him as his arms slipped around her and gripped her just as tightly.

They stayed like that for a time, simply enjoying the warmth of the other. There had been a catharsis to the tumult of emotion there, they'd found out a lot about each other tonight and bared some scars deep scars. But it seemed to have been worth it, as he'd never felt so close to someone like this.

"I'm sorry I ruined the mood." His apology was muffled a little by his face in her chest, but audible.

"It's okay...I guess I was more on edge than I thought. I didn't expect get so defensive, its just that...I don't want you to think of me differently. I just want to keep being Rhia and Giddy." She cupped the side of his face in her large hand and turned it up to her.

"So, if this is the living room...how big is your bedroom?" His unexpectedly daring question shocked them both.

Her by its boldness, and him by its impudence. He was about to apologise again when he saw a blush creep up her neck and cheeks again, as she bit her bottom lip.

"I'd be happy to show you..." She let him go and took his hand, leading him away from the massive window and over to a set of stairs that led up to the second level of the apartment.

They walked to the middle of the railed walkway before she turned down another corridor and led him to a room at the far end of a long, curved hallway, stopping only momentarily to point out a door to the left and telling him that was her gaming room. A part of him wanted to peek in and check out her setup, but the look in her eyes and her insistent pull on his arm, told him he'd have to wait till later.

Lights came on automatically as they entered the bedroom at the end of the hall. Once again, the space was huge by his standards. The room was spartan in décor besides a large padded high backed chair sitting in a corner by the door and an almost overly large bed sat against one wall, while a white glossy dresser sat opposite it, its top adorned with two silver photo frames, and a large frameless mirror hanging on the wall behind it. The far end of the room, opposite the door, was dominated by yet another huge single paned window, practically replacing the outer wall and allowing an additional dizzying view of the city below, as two closed doors led out of the room on either side of the dresser.

"This is it." Rhia said, gesturing to the great space.

"Cozy." He replied with light sarcasm, and a playful smirk.

"Hah, yeah, really homey..." She agreed as she turned back around to him, a cheeky smirk on her own purple painted lips. "Now that you're here, that is."

She gingerly lifted the cap off his head and tossed it to the chair in the corner, tousling his hair for a moment before lifting the bag from his shoulders and letting it join the hat. He matched her, running his hands up to her shoulders and sliding them into her jacket before slipping her leather jacket from her shoulders and letting it hit the floor in a heavy *thwump*. The two stared at each other only a moment more before they stepping into each other and their lips met for the third time that night. Once again her tongue made its way into his mouth, this time invited as his lips parted in anticipation of the long muscle, and danced around with his as their hands explored each other. He'd wanted to touch her all over since that afternoon, to feel her strong muscles and caress her soft skin, and now in this private sanctuary he could finally fulfil his desire.

His hands rubbed up and down her stomach, feeling the ripples of her tense abdominals as they undulated with her heavy breaths. After admiring her taut stomach he moved up to her chest and caressed the underside of her breasts, eliciting a moan from her that reverberated in his mouth. They felt firm yet soft in his grasp as he gently kneaded the large mounds of flesh, each heaving orb more than a handful for him. She moaned again as his palms grazed over her the hardened nubs of her nipples, pressing herself into him harder, as he rubbed soft circles around them.

Her own hands were in the midst of their own fervent explorations. One hand stroked over his chest and slowly unbuttoned his shirt before slipping underneath to caress his warm bare skin, as the other wound its way to his back, pulling him into her body as it glided up and down before slipping below his waist and gripping one of his buttocks hard in her large hand. It was his turn to moan as she groped him, his throaty, subdued whimper accompanied by a shiver than ran up his spine and threatened to collapse him as he felt his knees going weak.

Their mutual touches continued for a time, both languidly traveling the surface of the other's forms, until the thin layers of fabric that separated them became too great of a hindrance. Rhiannon was the first to break, the hand tenderly massaging his ass slinking back up to his chest to aid in undoing the remaining buttons of his shirt. She made quick work of it, the buttons coming undone in short order despite their blind fumbling. With the last one undone she brought both hands to his soft chest and slid them up to his shoulders and down over his arms until his shirt slipped from him entirely with gravity's aid, and crumpling at his feet.

Taking her cue, he brought his own hands down to the bottom hem of her thin white shirt and slipped his fingers underneath to her hot, smooth skin. She relaxed her arms and allowed him access as he slid the cloth up her torso, first revealing her tight muscled stomach and the defined bumps of her 8-pack abs, before it rose over the dunes of her breasts, finally revealing the pale, milky orbs that he'd spied when they'd first met. Their flesh was as fair and pale as the rest of her, deepening in colour at the edge of her dark pink areolas and the diamond hard, half inch thick nipples that sat perfectly at their softly bumpy centres.

He couldn't help himself, at the sight of such bountiful beauty he buried his face into one of her tits and latched his mouth around her nipple, licking all around her areola as he suckled gently on the hard nib.

"Ahhh, Giddy!" She squealed at the sudden assault, a noise so unexpected from such a powerful futa, before it transformed into a sultry purr.

"Mmmmm, yes baby..." She growled her appreciation as she took up her shirt in her hands and removed it the rest of the way, pulling over her head and bulky shoulders before tossing it to the floor beside his.

She embraced his head as he fed from her, holding him gently but firmly as he continued his work and switched from one breast to the other, leaving warm trails of kisses in the valley between her twin peaks. Her fingers snaked through his thick, dark hair as she enjoyed the sight and sensations coming from below her, but another, hungrier sensation in her pants was beginning to make itself palpable and after a couple minutes passed, was no longer able to be ignored.

Gently, she pulled his head from her chest and lifted him up until their faces were level. Almost on instinct, he wrapped his legs around her trim waist and looped his arms around the back of her neck, as she braced him with her hands on his ass and waled them both across the floor of the room and over to her large bed. Once at its edge, she bent at her waist, lowering them down until he felt the cool silky sheets on his bare back and his body sink into the soft layers of blanket and mattress as her weight pressed into him from above deliciously.

The two made out for a little longer before she lifted off, removing his arms and legs from her waist and neck, and moving her hands to his crotch. He lay there on his back obediently as she briefly rubbed the hard outline of his prick through the cloth, before undoing his belt and unzipping him. Hooking her fingers into the waist of the pants she slowly pulled them off, over his hips, down thighs, past his calves, and off his feet.

Nearly fully disrobed before her, he couldn't help but try to hide himself. His arms went to cover his crotch and chest as he curled in on himself.

"Don't!" Her sudden, calm command stopped him in his tracks as he tried to hide. "Don't hide. I want to see you."

He hesitated for a moment, conflict playing out on his face as much as in his mind, before shutting his eyes tightly and sucking his lips into his mouth as he slowly uncurled and forced his arms to his sides. Fighting back tears, he splayed himself out on the bed in nothing but his pale blue boyshort undies, and socks, as her dark, raven eyes roamed over every inch of him. He'd rarely felt so vulnerable and afraid.
