It flows well and there is only one grammar mistake, that's a big pet peeve of mine. I hope you continue this even though the ending isn't favoring it.

Like the way he used his ability w/o thinking until it zoomed in on him. that he could do something different with it. Will be reading chapter 2 Hope there's more to come.

Mind Control may be a general category, but the premise here feels different than what others describe. And executed very nicely.

I am excited to see learn how he learns to use his ability more and what trouble he makes for himself.
