I’m loving these stories ! Just a couple of minor pedantic points. A “winch” is a motorised rope winding machine and a “wince” is a facial expression caused by a sharp pain ( physical or emotional). Also check out the difference between past and passed. They are not a big deal, but when I read your stories, they cause me to wince when I read them.
