Only gave it a “2*” but it could have been better if there was a Part 2. Story just fades into sadness — there are lots of possibilities. The subtitle is inaccurate—should have said she “re-discovers” being bad. Being a slut was not a new experience for her; she had just tamped in down for awhile. Money or no money, main character seemed too meek, bad lover, etc. etc. He should have been a little more man; the set up here made it way to easy for her to decide to cheat. I did like the way she was just evil and not that she was a good person who got shot with the Martian Slut Gun. Any Part 2 ending would work as long as it’s some form of BTB. Lethal is good; I liked the idea of Kyle killing them both. Even better would be killing Chris and framing Sarah for the murder. Or get Chris fired, get offer to get job back, but tell the boss to shove the job. Enforce the prenup and move to a new city and don’t look back. Maybe an epilogue where the now unemployed Chris tracks Kyle down and attacks him but loses out to Kyle’s .38 (or .45 or 12 gauge or whatever!)

epilogue: Sarah was beyond pleased with herself as she drove to meet Chris at a nearby hotel. He was seated in the lobby. It lost points for 2 reasons...#1 it wasn't finished, FTDS and #2 the story was like most of the others, the wife was a cheating slut, and didn't care if anyone knew. At least then Kyle would get to BTBs in the above ending.

It was so difficult to get invested because the main characters (I viewed Wendy as a bit of a supporting character throughout) felt like caricatures of the best and worst qualities of people in this situation. It didn't feel at all organic, it felt like the author had all the aforementioned qualities in a hat prior to writing, pulled them out and the result was Tracey getting all the bad ones and Dave getting all of the good ones. As a result, it didn't feel real. It didn't quite feel like satire but it wasn't far off.

I agree that Tracey deserves some consequences, she should wind up broke since it becomes clear money is all she cares about(Contrary to what my comments may have led you and other folks to believe about me, i'm not against consequences, i'm against Over The Top consequences) but there's a broader picture here. Some people won't truly be satisfied with any story unless the wife goes through hell. I'm still bemused by the pie fights in comments between commenters, and the actual anger that people demonstrate over these stories. I'm not really one for humil stories, so I just don't read them generally. (I also don't really enjoy crazy BtB stories, but I have more tolerance for some. I've gotten less enamored by the repetitive super protagonist and idiotic wife tales though.) I also generally find Joe to be a good commenter, who has good feedback for authors, regardless of whether we have the same taste in stories. I read this one because it had a decent # of comments and was curious. Here is my feedback.

The dialogue is well done, and much better than many of the stories on the site. Obviously, it is an over the top tale, but there are over the top BtB as well. This category tends to have less actual erotica, particularly stroke stories, and this one was probably aimed at being more of a stroke story for people with a humiliation fetish. In that contest, it seems well written.

Is the story for me? Nope. Does that impact my rating? No, since I try to rate based on the quality of writing. If it had been trying for a realistic vibe, I'd mark it down because the wife's behavior isn't realistic. She'd have no reason to purposefully crush her husband randomly like this, whether she loved him or not. Plus the whole pile on thing. Heck, that DVD would be an excellent tool for the husband to get Craig fired and get some compensation from the company as well. Since this doesn't seem intended to have a real vibe, that doesn't really impact things either.

So, good job for a first story. Write whatever you enjoy and don't worry about the acrimony. It is a free site, with free stories, and at least theoretically is for erotica which this is... even if not a tale I'd go back and read again.

I'm fine with paying a reasonable amount of taxes for services that cannot be rendered any other way. I'm fine with taking care of those who cannot care for themselves. I'm not fine with paying for someone's food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, cellphones, housing, etc., etc., etc. when they're perfectly capable of caring for themselves. There are plenty of examples of unarmed white men shot by black police officers, but you have to dig around to find them, as -- like I said -- the media doesn't report those stories One example: last August, an unarmed white man was shot by a black officer. The officer had pulled him over, and was giving him instructions. When the suspect didn't comply, the cop shot and killed him. It turns out that the suspect was deaf, and wouldn't have been able to hear the officer. No charges were filed against the officer.

These unfortunate events happen every single day. They aren't indicative of racism. Bad things happen to good (and not-so-good) people every day regardless of race.

As for the unarmed white victims, as you say, we need more information. How many were OBVIOUSLY unarmed, with their hands in the air, and how many just turned out to be unarmed after the fact? Those are stats that could change the accounting in a hurry. Though you minimized it, why are there a higher percentage of unarmed blacks killed by police than whites?

Yes, it is a fact that there were four black jurors in that OK case. (This can be easily fact-checked through a ten-second Google search.) The "facts" you mentioned aren't, in fact, facts. They're opinions. Your opinions. Your highly-biased opinions. The only opinions that matter in this case, however, are the twelve jurors who sat and listened to both sides of the case, processed all of the facts of the case, considered all the evidence of the case, and came to a conclusion to the best of their ability, following the code of law.

You, on the other hand, arrived at your verdict in that case based on nothing more than the skin colors of the shooter and the victim. Which is more racist: basing an opinion on facts and evidence, or on skin color?

As for unarmed white men shot by police, you must not be aware that this happens far more often than the other way around. If you Google it, the Washington Post has a nifty little app where you can filter crime statistics by race, gender, armed/unarmed, etc.. In 2016, 465 white people were shot and killed by police. 22 of them were unarmed. That same year, 233 black people were shot and killed by police. 17 were unarmed.

Now, to maintain your narrative, you'll need to play around with the numbers and focus on rates instead of raw numbers. But then, that waters down your argument a bit, doesn't it? Now, we're no longer suggesting that more black people are shot and killed by police, but that more black people, as a percentage of the total number of fatalities, are shot and killed. That sort of kills the whole "racist" narrative.

As for the reaction when an unarmed white man is killed by a black officer, no one knows, because the media hardly ever reports those fatalities. Why? Because it doesn't fit their narrative. They're not interested in reporting the actual news; it's all about building and advancing their agenda.

You may disagree on what is fair, but that is between you and the IRS. Once that money is in the Treasury it is disbursed according to how our elected representatives decided. It is also a fact that he was unarmed, she only thought he was going for a gun and she had a partner who could have Tasered the guy. You're right. I would bet my life, and my family's lives that in a similar situation we would NOT have been shot.

Now, maybe it's the "Fake News," but I can't remember the last time an unarmed white man was killed by a cop. Meanwhile there was just another case where a cop put a non-standard martial arts choke hold on a guy and killed him. He thought the man had tried to carjack a pickup truck, something that the driver didn't think he was doing. Not that I wish any evil on anyone, but I'd like to see the reaction if a black cop kills an unarmed white person.

At the risk of starting ANOTHER off-topic debate, while in general I'm also of the "whatever floats your boat" school of thought. Where we part ways is on the "subsidize or endorse" bit. While I agree on the endorse part, as part of a civil society we ALL subsidize many things that we don't like, aren't interested in or downright oppose, and others subsidize things that we like and/or use.

We don't have a drop-down menu where we can select where our individual tax dollars go. We can certainly work through our representatives to limit or eliminate tax dollars going to things that we oppose, but once those things are in the budget, guess what? You're subsidizing them!

As for racism, it is alive and well. Look at that OK cop who was acquitted of manslaughter for shooting an UNARMED black man because she THOUGHT he MIGHT be going for a gun! With a fellow cop armed with a Taser right beside her! If you really believe that she would have shot a white man, or if she did that she would have been acquitted you are much more naive than I thought you were! If I misunderstood your position I apologize in advance.

This is probably the best ‘written worst story’ I’ve ever read here on Lit. For a new writer you seem to have the art of writing down pretty good—not perfect, but better than most virgin authors. After saying that, I’m completely out of good things to say about this one.

What were you trying to accomplish? Forgetting about all the negative comments, you have violated a major rule of good story telling. Where is your sympathetic character? Maybe you see the husband filling that role, but it’s hard to feel anything for the character you describe here. Chris and the wife make very good villains—they are really easy to hate; but to be successful, they must be opposed by a strong good guy, and hubby ain’t it. Another commenter suggested making hubby a stronger character. Maybe you should consider something like that in your next story, but it's too for this set of characters. You can still have hubby lose; the good guy doesn’t win every conflict, but all really good stories must have the main character opposed by one who is almost as strong as he is.

My suggestion: write a ch02 where Kyle drops a dime on Chris’ insider trading or something like that, let it all break after sweetie pie moves in with Chris, and just before the badass, Kyle went to school with needs money, which Kyle supplies on the condition he makes sure Chris’ manly equipment is permanently disabled. It’s too late for Kyle to grow a set, but he can find a good job and an ordinary looking woman and have a happy life.

@ Hank-something, it's interesting that because I've pointed out the irrefutable facts about racism, salary, and rape, I'm instantly branded as a "conservative." There is nothing political about any of those subjects -- yet, they've undeniably become political over the years.

I consider myself more of a Libertarian than any other ideology (although I don't march in lockstep with that one, either.) I'm a "live and let live" or "whatever floats your boat" type of person. Feel free to do whatever makes you happy, so long as you don't force me to subsidize or endorse it, and as long as whatever you're doing doesn't interfere with my own happiness. Whatever that ideology is, that's what I am.

For the record, I've never expressed the opinion that cheating shouldn't come with consequences. In fact, in every one of my stories where cheating is involved, there are consequences. It may not always be the consequences BTB fans expect, but consequences nonetheless. I enjoy stories of all types, so long as they're entertaining.

I came to Lit just looking for stories, didn't bother with tabs for years, just checked new stories to see what got my attention, with no intent to comment. Discovered FTDS and Woodmanone, decided to start commenting, so set up a profile. I did not seek out LW section, tend to sci fi first, but the mystery stories and drama here hooked me.

Your comments betray an odd assumption, that making moral judgements about infidelity is somehow at odds with reading erotica. Yet, you appear to be a political conservative. How odd, a no-consequences conservative.
