Click hereI splurged on a taxi from the airport, which was lucky, because otherwise I might not have found the Duke Street Car Park, which the driver was apparently intimately familiar with. A few minutes of searching finally spotted Alex Stonehouse waving from beside a bus remarkably like the one I took every day to Folkestone. We transferred my stuff to the underbelly of the bus and he introduced me to my fellow travelers, all in their late twenties to early thirties -- 80% male and 20% female.
The bus may have been familiar, but the scenery outside the windows was not. We headed east and in a while I could see water off to our left. I presumed it was the North Sea. We turned back to the west near a place called Highfields and then through the countryside. We passed by a nice-looking estate, and an RV park, and finally arrived at grouping of high tech cottages with canvas roofs and rustic wood walls, all settled under tall trees. I began to wonder who would sleep where, and just what kind of team building would go on here.
I was soon to find out.

Anonymousover 5 years agoLoved the shout out for Strathclyde University, though as it's in Glasgow on the West Coast it would be unusual to take a train or plane to Edinburgh (on the east coast) to get there.

Anonymousabout 6 years agoI've just completed a binge read of the series so far over the last couple of weeks. I have come to the horrible realization that I am now trapped in the awful "endless wait between chapters" that you've all been referring to. This is going to take some painful adjustment (but then again, there have been several moments in my binge where sneaking a read of this in public required some painful adjustments of a whole 'nother type.)
I'm blown away by finding writing of this quality just laying about the internet. I never thought a story with this much bdsm would hold my attention for 38 chapters, but this one did, top to bottom. Though, I did realize the story had strayed into high fantasy when he had the short horns going 8-0... easier to believe in elves.
And now, the cold turkey withdrawal and the waiting. Sigh.
