Bill was telling me tonight that the wife of one of the guys at his gym has been cheating on him for a long time. It seems everyone at the gym knows that she's fucking around, but her husband has no clue at all. What a wimp!"
I settled into my side of the bed and reached over to peck my wife on her cheek. I responded, "Poor sod. I guess all guys aren't as lucky as I am, to be married to you." In the darkness, Barb didn't acknowledge my comment, but instead began clicking away on her messaging app. "I guess I should reply to Bill," Barb said. As I readied for a good night's sleep, I heard a few more clicks, followed by a few of Barb's silly giggles. I went to sleep that night, feeling good that my boss and my wife have become such close friends.
