Weird

I find it deeply disturbing that the levels sexual repression and or sexual ignorance seems to be so common in the US. It’s a very common theme in erotic literature, and it makes me wonder how prevalent this repression/ naievity really is? That combined with the extended childhood in the US is pretty mind boggling.

I’m from the UK and for the most part childhood ends at 16-18 (at the very latest) in the US adulthood can be delayed until 21-25 (re legal drinking age). I suppose I’m asking if sexual repression/ sexual ignorance is a common fantasy or is it a reality?
