An excellent and hugely imaginative piece.

The author uses her knowledge of chess to create and amplify the most absorbingly intense sexual anticipation from a random yet highly charged sexual encounter.

The vivid descriptions of the costumes and scenery (and other props) help to take the reader deep into the fantasy and the author displays a good understanding of the male sexual psyche as well as the female.

This story would translate wonderfully into a scene in a high-budget, high glamour porno movie. Unfortunately though, most directors in the porn industry would be unlikely to have the patience to do justice to the wonderfully erotic anticipation created here... The "Cut to the chase" mentality at work in most of the porn industry sadly fails to recognise that 'the chase' or in this case the 'anticipation' is a much greater part of any GENUINE new sexual encounter than is necessary to feed the masturbation fantasies of its main customers. I would like to see Andrew Blake film this scene though - he would understand.
