Ok as comedy. But in real life if a wife says that a husband who had to suffer as long as he did wouldnt be as nice and would not respond to a threat as easy as he did. Finances would change, he would say he was going to find some who likes his once or twice a night even if he pays for it. Also tell her soon enough regardless of her mind her body is soon to change and she will literally dry up and not want more than once. Then he can go out and get some extra.

Bittersweet story but in real life, she would have been out on her ass before she finished her explanation. With very very just cause! Her penchant to hide things from her long suffering hubby WOULD cost her dearly.

It reminds me of an incident in my family. Dad was in the Navy, on a cruise during Vietnam. When the married mom could not drive in her conservative family, only the men drove. She learned with the help of a friend of dads. During her lessons she got flustered and slightly dented the car, together they got it fixed thought that dad would never know. I was not even a gleam then. Well, fast forward 22 years, my fiancee had a minor accident and mom was berating him and going on about how in 23 years of driving, she had never even come close to an accident. Without looking up, daddys said "that is a lie" and mom exploded. Dad continued eating dinner then put down his fork and said "June 13th 1965, left turn against traffic, hit a post trying to recover. Is there pie for desert?" Mom was completely flummoxed. "How did you know?" Dad had a big grin. "I noticed the color change in the door when I saw it on the lift while getting the oil changed the week I got back. I confronted Jason, he confessed it all. I asked if there was pie?" I asked him later why he kept it a secret, he said "Well when she didn't confess I just thought that one day her pride would get the best of her ... I was right." They are both gone now, I miss them both but Daddy most of all.

Silly.... but silly has its own redeeming qualities. And so does originality, of which this story has in abundance. One suggestion: have someone read it through or do a cursory edit. That catches all those little mistakes that we cannot see in our own work. An example was "Forman," which is a proper name, versus "foreman," which was Don's promotion. I'm also trying to figure out how Don came from Dominic rather than Dom.
