And then, on the chaise longue, Cassie found her, laid down in her most treasured possession, the long, red silk ballgown her husband had had tailored especially for her. The drained whiskey glass and the empty pill bottle were irrelevant. The dress, the way that Syn had meticulously arranged herself, told Cassie everything she needed to know.
"Tony. Get downstairs. Get help," Cassie shouted, "Now!"

I hope with all my heart that Syn does not die, she is key to having any hope of knowing more about Jodie.
I suspect that with Syn unwell Cassie will take control in part at least, everything indicates that Syn will end up being Cassie submissive and her condition in her relationship with Cassie will be revealed once the mess of that "stupid Law" is resolved. ´´.
