Just because it contains sex between men, it is not a gay story, as it’s not a cuckold story even though another man makes love to the protagonist’s wife. These categories are too narrow. To my mind, it’s about opening up to a broader range of sexual experience, without labels. “Skin is skin,” as the wife says.
