I'd say you're off to a good start!

not over the top, very consensual, loving... all the things that can make bdsm seem intense and loving without the sense of over-the-top dom mind games that i can hate. A perfect tone. Adding in more background on the characters could turn this into a romance and make us care even more :-). And I would love to see the reversal of their two roles, not as a clone but an equivalent followup. Great first story, leaves us wanting more
