2F is downstairs from 2C? Could be if it was building 2, but another building in the same complex has a 2F on the opposite side of the building from 2F in their building? Details are important for easy, enjoyable reading.

He was watching from a neighbor's apartment. That had a view from across the courtyard into 2F. He wasn't in 2C

I don't understand what the other commenters have against this, it's obvious where everyone is and there's nothing to state where the neighbour is in relation to the others. I thought this was a great read and very enjoyable
