Had me fooled, but I was expecting him to tell her he was leaving for real. I was glad he was just paying her back, Great story.

It was carefully worded at the start to imply that this was a ruse :

“I'm going to tell Richard I'm leaving and I know I need to stay true to that.”

BUT is that really enough to cover her inner monologue? Thinking…….“I've broken our vows and let another man sweep me off my feet. He's held me, kissed me, touched me and undressed me. We've spent many wonderful hours together. Teasing each other mercilessly, then making love like animals.”

Her husband is right though they are both idiots, at least they benefited from great sex because of it.
