Eccentric indeed! I'm a helpless sucker for writers with an eye to the little details, so Mesoamerican representation combined with The Help punching up was absolutely delightful. Diana's profession entwining with her passions calls to mind annag98's stories.

Outside of -dedicated- alternate history diegesis, it's not often that fake excerpts come off convincingly. The impromptu mini-lectures read a little odd in terms of plot flow, but even if Diana is one-and-done as a feature character, I'd love to see her philosophy threaded through later stories. Was she born of any specific inspiration?
