Great plot. Hands down good.
From the leaving to the fire, the gap was to broad. Assumption of disaster in the life development with no indication why there was no healing or rebound especially given it was a loving family.
Great story
Really made me think
Thank you
I do get what happened, but it seems bizarre - like there was any way that Charlie could aim the ball onto the mayor's windshield, at exactly the correct time for him to get into an accident. And then the whole town blames him? Bizarre. People can be quick to judgment, unfair, and cruel - but the town's reaction is overkill - as. is Charlie's - assuming he's the fellow at the end of the story. Unfortunately, no redeeming hope.
