A very interesting background of time, place, and customs interwoven with the beautiful tapestry of a relationship between a woman whose grown so accustomed to being served, she now must be, in ALL ways, to find pleasure, (though at a time, place, and age when we tend to think that women were usually expected to desire nothing more than marriage and service to their husband). And this male servant who has become accustomed to always being in this role, and yet who's respect and admiration have grown into love and worship of her. While the political circumstances leave him fearing he'll lose the limited access he has, at least in stolen moments. Above all, I enjoyed your writing about the depths of yearning, love, and respect that both parties feel towards the other, in a category that so often is written without the rich spiritual and emotional threads that bind those in the very best of these types of relationships! I hope you intend to continue this specific story in the near future, personally I'm wishing them a happy ending! My only suggestion to you is perhaps use the line after the title to give a glimpse that teaches your target audience, like: "The concerns of a servant for his Mistress in the time of Alexander the Great." Maybe? :-)
