Recovery 00: Introduction

Prologue:

This new Billyslate Love Story is a Slowburn Lesbian Romance tale. The storyline differs quite a bit from most of my previous Literotica Story submissions. Children are not included in the early events but are introduced later in the story. As always in my stories, no sexual activity happens when children are at home. Also, as a general rule for my stories, no alcohol is consumed when children are present.

All descriptive sex in this story is lesbian, with young ladies aged 21 or older. Some explicit lesbian sexual activities may feature a strong but loving woman as the definite TOP controlling the action.

Foreword:

I'm currently completing A Quiet Lady's Place 06: Adventure - Conclusion and How Did I Get Here 04: The Promise-Conclusion, and both stories should publish by early APR 2023.

The next chapter, Recovery 01: will follow, publishing in late APR/early MAY 2023. Recovery Pts 02/03: will publish in late summer & fall 2023. Hopefully, my readers will enjoy Recovery, a hard-hitting emotional lesbian love story.

This story and all Billyslate stories are 100% Fiction in every aspect.

INTRODUCTION 00:

It's a brisk sunny 26th of August 2021 late morning in Aarhus, Denmark, as we deplane from the brief, 2-hour Munich to Aarhus flight. I've not previously visited Denmark but intend to holiday in Copenhagen for a week before my 1-year US Consulate State Department Contract ends in JUNE 2022.

Now, out of the blue, I find myself landing at the Aarhus International Airport (AAR), and am currently enroute to Aarhus University. With only a two-day notice, I'm participating in an emergency NATO meeting on Russia's probable Ukraine invasion which isn't in my job description as a linguist. Two days ago I am not even aware of this emergency NATO meeting, focusing on a suspicious Russian troop buildup near the Eastern Ukraine border.

Jason Ray Adams's rotation back to a USA (?CIA) office at the George Bush Center for Intelligence, Langley, Virginia is the culprit for my being in Aarhus. Jason's rotation party is two days earlier, with the entire Munich Consular Staff being grossly hungover the next morning except me. I'm the only staff member truly on station at the Consulate that morning when a No-Nonsense Green Beret Colonel Marvel unexpectedly arrives.

She's a tall, slim, and fit 40-something Green Beret Special Forces (GB-SF) Commander, scheduled to attend a highly classified emergency NATO meeting in Aarhus. Colonel Marvel doesn't usually operate in the European theater, so requests assistance from a Munich Consular Attaché. Since I, Kenzie Ellen Nichols, 25, am the only alert staff member on-station that morning, I get the call to meet the Colonel. Her eyebrows shift notably as she enters my office since I am the lowest-level administrative person on the consulate Totem Pole!

My expertise is reading people and/or situations and I am an expert at this task. I quickly read Colonel Marvel as a no BS, give it to me straight officer. So I introduce myself as Kenzie Ellen Nichols, a new member of the Ambassador's Munich Consular Staff, having been on station for 3 months. "I am fluent in German and speak a smattering of other EURO languages, but Danish isn't one of them."

Continuing, "I frankly admit up front this type of operation is totally out of my sphere, but I have the prerequisite highest, Top Secret Clearance (TS-SCI). Also, as of this morning, I'm the only sober staff member at the consulate, with most other staff still drunk or badly hungover from the party."

Colonel Marvel peers at me intently, "So you are one of those Holy Roller-Type non-drinking Christians."

Laughing loudly, "Goodness no Colonel Marvel, I had exactly one glass of a delightfully full-bodied Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon last night. I never have more than one glass of wine socially, regardless of the occasion."

Giving me a frosty smile, "Kenzie, you will be my attaché for this emergency NATO meeting, and we'll define your specific duties in Aarhus, late morning on 26 AUG 2021." She gives me a card with email and phone contacts, "See you at Aarhus University."

I boldly add, "There's one special talent that I'm the best person on station in the consulate, and possibly all of Europe without question. See you in two days Colonel."

I've just deplaned in Aarhus, where a Danish Military Transport takes me to meet Colonel Marvel in an Aarhus University conference room.

Aarhus is on the Jutland Peninsula, which also includes other Danish cities, and borders Flensburg, Germany. So, many Aarhus residents are bilingual in Danish/German. Aarhus is Denmark's 2nd largest city, approximately 190km (115 mi) northwest of Copenhagen, with a population of nearly 350,000. Today's 26 AUG 2021 daytime weather is forecast at a comfortable 67F (19.4C), cooling to 55F (12.8C) tonight.

Having only briefly met Colonel Marvel at our Munich Consular Office, I brush up on her military career file. It's impressive and also includes a brief physical description, her military rank, and responsibilities, as well as her no-nonsense GB-SF Field Commander style.

Who Am I?

KENZIE ELLEN NICHOLS

US MUNICH CONSULATE POLITICAL ATTACHE

I'm twenty-five years old with a Master's Degree (MA) in International Politics from the University of Georgia (UGA). I'm fluent in German and understand a smattering of other prominent EURO languages. My first real job is a translator for a major Metro-DC firm, with many US-GOV contracts. It's here my interest in US-GOV-sponsored international life first piques.

A new German Ambassador is confirmed by the Senate and looking to replace all German Consular Senior Staff with hand-picked loyal people. I become aware of this potential opportunity via one of my translating projects, worming my way into an interview.

Arriving early at the Ambassador's DC office, I read most of the interview staff. Then I carefully isolate my targeted interviewer (Wanda L) over the coffee pot. We chat about little inane things such as the lukewarm coffee, today's miserable DC weather, and how busy she is with so many interviews, almost instantly bonding as confidants.

She then offers, "I am Wanda, are you here for a consular staff interview?"

I reply, "Ja danke dir und ich bin, Kenzie Ellen Nichols. Ich arbeite für die Vertragsübersetzungsgruppe und würde gerne ein Vorstellungsgespräch führen.

Wanda smiles, "Let's stay with English Kenzie as I see you speak excellent German. Since we've been chatting for a while and I am the lead interviewer, I'll take care of you so please follow me."

My interview is positive and several weeks later, I am based out of the US Consulate in Munich on the one-year contract I request and Wanda approves. It requires about six weeks for my credentials and TS-SCI clearance, so by early JUNE 2021 I'm off to the races at the US Consulate-Munich.

BORN JAN 1996-GEORGIA, USA

I was born in Whitehall, GA to parents Jerry Allen Nichols and Elsie Rein Nichols. Whitehall is 10 minutes south of Athens, GA, and within the city limits. My parents Jerry and Elsie are typical southern middle-class white Americans, Christian, and conservative. My mom Elsie is of German Heritage and maintains her fluency even though born in the US. So, I grew up in a bilingual home speaking English/German.

I'm an only child as planned by my parents since they own a fairly busy gift and card shop near UGA. The shop named Card-Gifts Plus has been in our family for two generations and is a staple near the UGA main Athens campus. I'm a model daughter growing up with excellent scholastic grades, and never causing my parents trouble.

Typically, my life revolves around our shop when not in school or church activities. I tend to be a loner, with few close friends, male or female. At 25, I'm still a virgin and have never seriously dated or had a boyfriend.

My parent's shop is very busy, providing our family with an excellent income, so growing up I attend small Christian primary and secondary schools, with most students hailing from white high-income upper-class families.

My favorite physical activity(s) are running, golf, and Brazilian Jujitsu Judo (BJJ) which are easy for my introverted type personality. Dad likes to golf, so I take lessons at a young age, then dad and I golf twice a month as I mature. I've continuously run long distances in local Whitehall parks since age 12, so have always been in excellent physical shape.

My mom worries about my being harassed as a fairly cute little girl so enrolls me in a UGA juvenile judo program at age 8, which I love. After my initial year of group lessons, I gravitate to private lessons, focusing on the BJJ style. After 16 years of studying Judo, now at age 25, I reach the coveted 5th Dan Black Belt. With my first job in the real world, I'll have limited time for Judo, so may not advance to the next Black Belt level for a long time if ever.

I consider my complexion to be a soft tan, possibly because I spend much of my free time outside running and golfing. I'm a slim 5'10" 122-pound knockout with glossy shoulder-length dirty blond hair that fits my face perfectly. Finishing this off with long legs, hefty 34C boobs, a 27" waist, and phat n firm booty certainly makes me a desirable package. Yet, I never date throughout high school and college.

Being very studious, I receive a full-ride Academic Scholarship from UGA at age 17. Living at home, I complete my BS and then Master's (MA) Degree (High Honors) in International Political Studies/German before my 25th birthday. All during High School and College I work in the family gift shop, excel in my studies, play golf twice monthly, practice BJJ every weekday, and run more than 50 miles a month.

During my MA program, I catch the travel bug, wanting to see more of the world than Athens, Atlanta, Savannah, and Disney World. So I begin investigating job opportunities in politics and am quickly swept up by the DC Translating firm. A knock-down-drag-out battle ensues with my parents, seeing me departing Athens in tears since mom and dad are adamant in their objections to my moving away (deserting them).

The communication freeze between me and my parents is just thawing, when I accept the Munich Consulate Staff contract. My parents are ballistic learning I'm moving to Europe and working in the Munich Consulate. They refuse to even listen, as I repeatedly stress it's only a one-year contract.

Following the Munich Consulate job battle, I get the cold shoulder from both parents. From that point on they do not answer many of my email or SMS messages. I need to fix this situation of turmoil with mom and dad, but my growing consulate job duties keep getting in the way. The Munich Consul General rates my 90-day performance evaluation as outstanding.

Honestly, I love the excitement of my consulate job, already knowing I want to extend the contract for another one or two years. So, I'm in a dither on when and how to open up with mom and dad.

AARHUS UNIVERSITY

I stop at the Aarhus University information desk, show my USA Munich Consulate ID, and ask for Colonel Marvel. I'm taken to a conference room, seeing the Colonel for only my second time.

We chat briefly, during which I admit I'm not certain the consulate chose the best person to help her. We continue chatting and I finally understand the seriousness of this emergency NATO meeting. There's a high probability of Russia invading Ukraine in the next few months, So Colonel Marvel needs assurance that most scheduled attendees are up to handling such a complex situation in two days of meetings.

I smile cheekily, "Remember my telling you there is one task in which I excel? I am an expert at reading people, so do you want me to read this crowd, and see who's feeding BS at the pig trough? I can superbly handle that for you, but please be forty-five minutes late for the meeting, giving me time to read the room?"

English, it is for now and see you 45-minutes after the meeting starts."

***

Standing alone near the conference room entrance, I observe the wait staff setting up refreshments for our NATO meeting.

I spot my info candidate and mosey over to the refreshment area, "Ich bin Kenzie und mein Dänisch ist nicht vorhanden, sprichst du deutsch oder englisch?"

Hello Kenzie, "I am Borden and will enjoy speaking English with you since I am traveling to the USA on holiday later this year."

I reply, "Fantastic Borden after everything settles with the meeting set up, give me your basic travel itinerary and I'll help you map out a good plan for the areas you want to visit."

I'm thinking oh yeah, I've struck a gold mine, and we can help each other. We laugh and chat during Borden's refreshment setup, becoming quite chummy. But something seems a bit off with Borden's demeanor for being just a hotel server, still, I play along with him for the fun of it.

As we continue chatting, Borden innocently gives me a reading on each Danish attendee as they arrive; such as he doesn't like this one who is full of himself. Or this one lies all the time, and he thinks this one has an alcohol problem, getting drunk at nearly every conference room dinner meeting.

There's a Danish DOD lady named Hanna, whom Borden seems high on, saying she's a brilliant communicator but the Senior Officers treat her more like a secretary. Hanna hasn't arrived yet so I carefully watch the entrance hopefully getting a quick read or feel of her.

The room is quickly filling now, so I give Borden a Munich Consulate business card with my Mobile # and US-GOV Email. By now I'm fairly certain he's Danish Intelligence and gay, so no worries there. As a plus, Borden serves delicious coffee; also, it's fun and helpful gossiping and shooting the breeze with him, so I hang tight for now.

NATO EMERGENCY MEETING

I continue gabbing with Borden as more attendees stroll in, most of whom are Danish. There are a couple of other Scandinavians attending, one Norwegian and the other Swedish, but I'm not too concerned with them.

Hanna is easily spotted, simply by her confident posture, as she takes a seat close to the head of the conference table. I also see the look of disdain directed at her two male Danish counterparts. Looking her over closely, I'm fairly certain Hanna's an out n out butch, definitely the predator type.

Borden's eyes critically appraise me observing Hanna as he tries getting a read on me. His analytical problem is, that I am truly a special attaché to Colonel Marvel, speaking fluent German, on loan from the Munich Consulate. He knows I'm up to something, but I do not fit into the usual/classic military intelligence or CIA mode for an emergency NATO meeting.

Five minutes later, a striking young woman strolls in, alongside an obvious senior-level diplomat. She looks a day or two off the battlefield, and while he is unquestionably a high-level diplomat, they seem easily familiar with each other. Neither is Scandinavian, and I glance at Borden, as he sheepishly stares at the floor. For certain he is not just a university food service employee but most likely high-level Danish intelligence.

Looking piercingly at the young woman, I am 100% positive she's a Ukrainian Warrior, recently back in the world for this meeting. She looks fit, about my height at 5'9 or 10" and 115 lbs; her sun-drenched blonde hair pulled into a high-tight ponytail.

Once they're seated, I mentally will her to look up from chatting, and she does, smiling brilliantly. I smile and nod my head acknowledging her, pointing cutely at my coffee. She softly touches the shoulder of her traveling companion, whispers, and smiles then stands slowly strolling toward the refreshment area.

Welcoming her, "I am Kenzie, a US Consulate Political Attaché based in Munich. I only know a smattering of Ukraine, but am fluent in German if you do not speak English." Oh Boy, do I miscalculate her time back in the World, since she smells awful, badly needing a shower and shampoo?

Giving me a what the hell look, "I am Khrystyna, but you can call me Kris. My English is passable, so let's stay with a language that's native to one of us. Please tell me why a Political Attaché from the Munich Consulate is attending a NATO War Council in Aarhus?"

Turning to Borden, "Would you give my friend Khrystyna a cup of coffee that she will surely enjoy since it's been a while for her?"

Borden nods giving me an I Know What You Are look and walks away.

After Borden is gone, I reply to her question, with another question. "Kris, the tentative meeting schedule is for two and a half days, are you here for the entire time?"

She grins cheekily, "I can be here for 3 or 4 days, but do not decide yet. So, are you asking me for a date, as you Americans say?"

I look her up and down, "No Kris, I am not asking you out, which is how I would say it. We are close in age, and also the youngest people in the room, so it will be nice for us to socialize during our free time if you stay for the full meeting."

Continuing, "I'm here because everyone else in the Munich Consulate was hungover from too much alcohol at a staff member's reassignment party. Colonel Marvel wanted a sober person to help with this emergency NATO meeting and the consulate contact person selected me.

"Can we talk somewhere privately for an hour, so I can learn everything you know? You are just in from the woods, so must be here to inform us of danger(s) from the Russian forces mustering on your eastern border. I want to help Colonel Marvel understand what the Ukraine military forces need, and how to best make it happen."

Peering fixedly into my eyes Kris says, "Wait here for my coffee Kenzie, I need to speak with someone."

I agree as Kris glides away. She speaks rapidly to the diplomat who nods yes and she returns to the refreshment area. Just as Kris comes up to me, Colonel Marvel strolls into the room with a tall attractive Black GB Special Forces Captain. Both sit leaving space for me but startle as Kris slides in close.

Leaning in she whispers, "So Kenzie, I stay four days, sleeping in your room."

I step back again openly appraising her, "Okay by me Kris, but you need a cleaning-up shower and shampoo before climbing in my bed!"

Fully admiring me with a grin, "Okay Kenzie, will you please wash and dry my hair? It feels so dirty, and tangled and probably smells bad. Where are you sitting, oh I see your Colonel now, let's go there."

I introduce Khrystyna from Ukraine and Colonel Marvel introduces the Black GB-SF Captain Andrews. Within a few seconds Borden shows up with Kris's coffee and another chair as we sit.

Softly, "I tell the Colonel and Captain, Khrystyna's bunking with me for the next four days. She's just out of the woods and smells atrocious, so I promise her a bed, bath, and shampoo. After resting, Kris will give us a private no holds barred one-hour briefing on the Russian forces massing at their eastern border.

"I'm certain you're aware that Khrystyna is traveling with a High-Level Ukraine Diplomat. He approves our private debriefing so the four of us will meet quietly this evening in my room. Afterward, the full NATO delegation will have an official meeting, maybe a business suite in the hotel works best.
