All Comments on 'Rob and Ellen Ch. 03'

Why? Well in a word, any tension or tempo is almost invariably lost. I found this story particularly frusrating because the the tension developed in the first two parts was killed in part 3. Did you just run out of steam or ideas?

Just your normal run of the mill story by JPB. The cheating wife has no respect or love for her husband and continues to cheat on her husband and will do forever more. No one to like in this story. From the husband to the should have been ex-wife to the lover and everyone in between.

I am growing to love this story. I do love the good intentions and no follow through aspect. Ellen is a wonderful character, Stu is a deligthful and horny villain, and Rob is a good hearted and loving husband and learning the requirements of fathering.

I would guess Rob will still have to face a moment of indecision for crisis, Ellen still appreciates great sex when she has it, and what about Stu? I can read this story for a while and enjoy all of the possibilities.

Chapter 1 and 2 is Filled with numerous cases of Rob talking a LOT about DNA testing. Now because Dixie a whore thinks she is sherlock Holmes... Rob thinks that the baby COULD be his and suddenly decides NOT to do the DNA?

Big fucking deal!

what about what the cunt whore wife actually did? Its is important to note That this aspect of the story is of course not mention One time.... by anyone.

You see by focusing JUST on the Baby and never on the whore wife... JOB can fiorce a pathetic reconciliation.

It is the author not ME who fixated on the DNA.

The characters were well established and believable as was the story line.

Her mother suggests he accept her back and ignore the baby's actual parentage. This solves absolutely nothing. Now he can pretend that the baby is really his. What a crock. It will weigh on his mind EVERY day. The only thing worse than a problem with a bad resolution (the baby is not his) is one with NO resolution so it haunts you forever. People that accept this type of a solution are too cowardly to face their true lives. <br><br>

And meanwhile, Ellen is still fucking around. She can't say no for a few months knowing what is at stake? Wow, what a special gal. What a prize. Oh, but wait, she says no at the end of the story so she is all redeemed, right? What a load. <br><br>

The sad thing is that there are people who make the kind of stupid decisions to reunite like Rob has done. Ellen is a slut and she will do this again. Rob thinks he is forgiving a one time indiscretion and in reality she has screwed around 4 times. I can't believe before getting back together with Ellen he didn't have her followed for a month or two. The reality is that he doesn't want to know. He wants to pretend he has a good marriage. Pretty pathetic. I mainly dislike the story because I don't like people being taken advantage of and Rob is an all day sucker and Ellen has no true appreciation of him. As such there is really no resolution to the story's dilemma. Very unsatisfying.

The characters were all interesting and believable. My only complaint is the sudden change in POV. Once again, I found myself having to reread a section uncertain as to who was narrating. Looking forward to the next story.

I enjoyed it for the most part, though I'd have preferred it all in one piece rather than chapters.

Sad to say that this is quite paluseable. In real life, I have known a “Rob” that did eventually find out that the kid was his for sure. Through “Stu’s” bragging, he also later found out about “Ellen’s” additional escapade. End of Story.

Even if she does not have sex with Stu at the very end. Sorry, that does not redeem her in my eyes. I did admire her honesty with Rob at the beginning but that was quickly offset by her lack of remorse about the sex or pregnancy. Her attitude of "I'm pregnant with another man's baby and if you don't accept it you are an unfeeling bastard" was just a little too much. her willlingness to go back for seconds, thirds and fourths while avowing that she wanted to reconcile just exposed her to be a lying, cheating slut.<P>

Of course Stu was a great villian. Now what does a great villian do when thwarted? Why tell Rob about all the other meetings that she has forgotten to mention. I would love to see that followup story. Ellen's carefully constructed house of lies would come tumbling down. At which time she reveals the DNA test. Yup, it would be a real mess.<P>

That's the best you can do to wrap this story up? Talk about being Gypped. The husband in this story was sooo completely 2 dimentional, I'm surprised his name wasn't Mr. Rob Bland. Even your "player" character seemed weak and uninspired. C'mon, Mr. "I like banging married chicks for the extra zing", after only TWO nights with Ellen Becomes Mr. "I must have you and only you". Hmmmmm, must have been the anal on the first date. What happened to Rob's balls? Where is the chapter where Rob gets some kind of revenge/justice/payback against Stu/Ellen/life in general? I'm just glad this story didn't have your usual overused cliche line "That just does not compute". Now, I know that every story can't end in some elaborate revenge loaded with all the Mission Impossible style gadgets and planning, but there has to be something where the guy can look at himself in the mirror.

I agree with Wickedwan in thinking "That's it?". Please consider more character development and coming to more satisfying ending, so that the story isn't left hanging. Thank you, JPB!

The author created it and this one was a sorry job. Never once considered the female with no morals, no self-control, no real sense of remorse as long as she could get laid conveniently. The surprise twist to this story is that the wife confessed getting caught right away. So unusual for LW stories. Emotions here seemed to be distant from the characters. Not much real connection between spouses.

It always surprises me how many readers totally miss the point and don't understand the ending. Nice one Bob!

This chapter is just too disjointed with the first to chapters to be a pleasant read.

two common statements in all JPB stories, they are so well written stories how can you not notice the blatant contempt for men(totally written by a man hating cunt). To those that think other wise put your self in the male leads place(something JPB cant do). Also MM you like JPB are a weak writer, and thats why your writing is so one sided(female much). The fact that MM and JPB can write so well, but still need to punish their male characters time and time again to get off(you both write for yourselves and fuck with readers) is odd, your like a good painter but using all the wrong designs or colors true you paint for yourself but you do it publicly, so we are offended but someone with some skill painting NAZI swastikas all around.

I bet you are a Stangstar fan. Nothing wrong with that, but his men aways triumph, they never fail, they are always nice guys, and they ALWAYS find a hotter, more loyal woman than any man has ever found ever.

She is realistic. I can see every rationalization that Ellen makes. If I were a woman who was looking at a huge divorce with almost no hope, I might make the same choices.

Is this typical, sadly yes, watch the TV syndicated relationship programs, listen to talk shows that deal with relationships and read Dear Abby or Ann Landers. Trouble here, Ellen did not respect or have deep love for Rob, I feel that Ellen was the type that should have explored more before marriage. Now that Ellen got pregnant by another man, most or some would say think of the baby Rob, in this case, behind his back, she still cheats with Stu? I do not see Rob sticking around and with corporate management and lifestyles which some are back stabbers, I expect many or a few in Ellen's corporation to talk. and Don't forget her big mistake is having lunch and a sex romp in a hotel in their own town. I hope there are a few or at least one more chapter, I expect the DNA to come back as Stu's and Rob does find out the hard way Ellen is still sleeping with Stu. If they had been on vacation somewhere and while starting to fly back, their path to their place would take them past Ellen's home but also ended up going through where she was on travel... which wouldn't matter if they hadn't called ahead to her and Rob's home... which is when he relayed where she was and where she was staying and her room...

And they knock on her room... and she's still in the bathroom... and Stu thinks it's room service and answers the door in a towel... and the gig is up.

Lack of justice.

Looking at the ratings, the first two chapters got high marks for the dramatic tension.

But look at the timeline:

She deliberately fucks around

She continues to fuck around

She gets her life back

Meanwhile, husband is left clueless, hapless and taking back someone much worse than he actually knows. But because HE cannot move on (which makes him seem at least slightly pathetic), she gets a mulligan.

This is TOO realistic. But what makes it even more of a failure is what it does not show. Bob TELLS us she is miserable, that her parents are worried about her mental health etc. But we never see it and when he lets us into her inner mental space, she's more like 'Oh poo! That didn't go well! I guess I better fuck this guy' instead of 'OH MY GOD! HOW DID I FUCK UP MY LIFE SO MUCH!"

I never really got the sense that she regretted what happened. And her rationales for further dalliance is not destroyed, except she will use her diaphragm and shut her 'magic mouth' about any future indiscretions.

One person loves the other much more and they get to suffer because of that love. Her love is not shown at all His is amply displayed. And it is a karmic tragedy to the readers.

I can understand how some of the readers didn't like the story, and especially the ending. She didn't suffer like he did. Sane women don't suffer like men do upon a breakup in a relationship. That's been borne out in more than one study. Women are survivors. Although she appears to not love her husband as much as he loves her, as a practical matter, and if in reality, that's probably not true. She's merely hedging her bets. She's with child, and if Rob doesn't come through, maybe Stu will. She loves Rob more, even though Stu's a better lover, and she even gave him her anal cherry. What a tangled web you wove, but a beautiful web, nonetheless.
