A decent start to a nice retelling of the old tale and with a good cliff-hanger to end this first part. However, there are quite a few grammatical errors (mainly punctuation) and spelling errors (although some of these could be typos). Good editing should help overcome these problems. If you don't feel confident to do this yourself, try to find an editor. That said, the story does promise to be an enjoyable one.

Excellent take on the story. I'll be looking forward to more chapters.
