I really enjoyed the first series, it's always nice to have a sequel; I hate to see a story end. I'm guessing the 'need' Amarisa feels is either breeding or to return to the lake. If I'm right I'll be happy, because both scenarios could prove interesting; if I'm wrong, I'll have the surprise of something I couldn't think of. Good work. Keep it up.

At the end of the previous story, you stated that Amarisa had accent that Nikki had never heard before. Since you learn your accent from whom you learn the language, Amarisa would have the exact same accent as Elena.

An interesting opinion, however the mermaids have their own language and Amarisa would have learned to pronounce things in her own, slightly different way based on her knowledge of her own language, like most people who learn a second language do.
