His love feels off to me. His efforts to degrade her speak more about him than her. I see him as the type of male who if she left him, would kill her and three bystanders in a public blaze of unhinged psychosis

I wonder where this story is going. To me, it feels like the Master is either got Alzheimer's or is mentally ill. I was not sure what to think nor am I really now but the ending makes me wonder about his mental capacity, whether from not being able to remember or perhaps psychosis of some kind.
