Three months later Dino's father hated the neighbors at Number 9 as much as ever, and he hated his son as much as ever. Except now, they were one and the same.
Mr. Stefani stood on his front lawn on a cool, grey Melbourne winter's morning and watched in a fit of rage as the blonde girl, dressed in a parka, jeans with flowers on them and hiking boots, climbed aboard a four wheel drive after his son placed her backpack in the back and gave her a kiss goodbye.
After waving Savannah goodbye, Dino headed to the landscaping truck to help Matt and the other two guys - his co-workers and housemates - load up for a busy day landscaping at a commercial center just across the road from the high school Dino no longer attended.
Dino would miss Savannah while she was away on her latest field trip, this time on Phillip Island for a week but he was more than satisfied this morning. Savannah had forgotten her knitted hat - something she would need on the cold winter nights on the cold island where the winds blew strongly from cool waters of Bass Straight - and was pleased to have done a good deed to assist his girlfriend.
Dino liked quite a few things in life now. And when he did have a momentary lapse back into his old selfish, lazy, immature, negative, self-pitying ways, Savannah was there to give him a kick up the arse and put him back on track. But most of the time Savannah used more positive ways to reward Dino for his good behavior - between the covers of her nice warm comfortable bed.

Sexy Savannah From Number 9 was one of my works that sort of faded without trace when it was posted, so it was good to get some positive feedback on the story. I had a lot of fun writing it, especially Dino's authoritarian father.
I've written quite a few works set around Australia set in Melbourne, Geelong, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast & Darwin if you like stories that take place in Oz.
garolopeviover 5 years agoI am from Melbourne , Victoria, ( Altona Meadows) . Stumbling across a lovely understanding lady like Savannah is kinda what happened with me. My parents didn’t hate me, my schoolmates were fine. Like Dino I felt my life was not going anywhere and decided I’d start working. I did a forklift certification course ,successfully , a Dangerous Goods and Driving course - aced the dangerous good s and the theory part of the driving test but failed to get anywhere driving. This story brought back many memories. I can even hear that dinkum Italian Aussie accent.
Brilliantly written story.
I am now a fan of yours for life ( I think)

You mentioned that the grammar is poor in this story - I am not sure if you are from Australia where this story is set, but I have used a fair amount of Australian slang in the dialogue of some of the characters, and also Australian spelling. And Dino and Katrina's parents are both from Italy, so I have written their dialogue to try and capture their Italian accents. Maybe this was a mistake on my part that could be misinterpreted as poor grammar?
manwolffabout 7 years agoYour story is good in every aspect, it's just badly written with very bad grammatical errors, repeated wording, and spelling mistakes. It could have been a very captivating story consisting of three, maximum for pages opposed to being drawn out to seven. However, a good story with a good ending.
