This story is already pretty good in English, but it's a translation, with some minor errors. There's a few points in the text where a native English speaker might have chosen different words. I would recommend a forgiving attitude, since the story is too good to let a few flaws distract you.

If you can read Dutch, please read the original story "Een vissig verhaal", also written by ParnaGroof, because the original breathes the fishy air of a village on the coast of IJsselmeer. I could actually imagine smells and sounds when I was reading in my native language, so I'd give it 5 stars in Dutch and 4 stars in English.
