I rarely read "mind control" stories. Even so, I found this one an interesting "take" on the mind-control motif. I like the way the controllers do not have absolute power but have to subtly adapt their instructions to the changing mind and moods of a particular woman at a particular moment in time. And they have to cajole her more than command her. (Sounds a lot like teaching ... or parenting.) Very subtle ... and interesting.
Another plus: the three main male characters remain quite distinct. (Alas, I found myself identifying most strongly with Herbert.) Overall: quite a nice story here.
Excellent way to introduce yourself to the mind control genre, good job! More, please.
