"It's already taken care of, Kat. Come on, sis, let's get David's stuff packed away so there's room for your stuff." Maggie held out her hand and Katie gratefully accepted the pull to her feet.
"Supper will be at 6:15, girls. Leftovers tonight. We've got to clean out the refrigerator. I'm a little tired of playing Fridge Tetris," Rose advised everyone. "And I recommend an early bedtime for everyone. This has been an exhausting day."

Additional Author's note: The voted ratings are nice; I'll never deny that. But it's the comments that feed the writer's soul. If this epic saga has made you laugh or cry or even made you think, I would love to know about it. I laugh and cry as I'm writing it; I hope you do the same while reading it.
I wish to apologize to anyone who feels that I've gotten off course by having so much of the recent story so focused on Katie O'Shea. I have some long‑range objectives defined for the timeline of this story, but sometimes the story takes over and stuff comes out that I never planned on. The Katie O'Shea drama is mostly over now, and the focus will return to the six protagonists of the title. My gratitude to my editors / pre-readers cannot be adequately communicated. This whole thing has gotten so much better with their inputs and recommendations. - ST0112
This family story keeps taking twists and turn, it keeps me totaly sucked into their universe. You definatly have a special skill in telling a story, these characters are fun to read and move through their life. Keep up the amazing work...
Good thing I'm retired, this series and Spirits have got me seriously hookd.
Several times throughout both series this crusty old steelworker / grouchy old biker has had some eye leakage problems.... Too many late night getting hooked reading as well....
@Anonymous "How soon ..."
I'm 85% ready with part 9. It would be much easier to respond to you if you had an account or left an email.
I'm writing this in my "copious" free time. I have long-range mileposts and overall plans for these characters, but the interesting (and boring) day-to-day stuff needs to come to fruition. - ST0112
Prediction: Katie will do something silly like kissing David and unleash the jelly monster inside Maggy. Hijinks will ensue.
On a more serious note, coming from not an author but a reader, your character dialogs are a bit long winded. The story would benefit from little breaks in their speeches here and there.
I hope to hear more about Katie, her story has been very relatable to me. I shed some tears reading this installment but have found it uplifting too.
This Saga is awesome and it brought this soon to be 70 year old Marine to tears,thank you
Another good episode. I look forward to each new offering and you never disappoint. Thank you, and keep up the good work.
